BB Birthday Bash: Cluedo Time SOLVED

Post by BBP » Wed Apr 04, 2018 3:41 pm

Welcome to the BBP Birthday Bash Cluedo game!

This is the ACTUAL playing board that will be updated every turn: please refer back to this page if you ever get mixed up.
Image

Summary of the played turns:

1: Sca: Mus Can Lou: Plum disproves
2: Plu: Plu Lpi Hal: Peacock and White can't disprove, Scarlett can
3: Pea: Pea Rop Con: White disproves
4: Whi: Sca Dag Bal: Scarlett can't disprove, Plum can
5: Sca: Pea Lpi Bal: Plum can disprove
6: Plu: Mus Dag Hal: Peacock can't disprove, White can.
7: Pea: Whi Wre Kit: White can't disprove, Scarlett can.
8: Whi: Pea Rev Kit: Scarlett can disprove.
9: Sca: Sca Can Con: nobody can disprove.
10: Plu: Sca Can Hal: nobody can disprove.
Plum makes this his final accusation and wins.

Playing order:
1 Adam106: Ms Scarlet (Plum Rope Study Conservatory Kitchen)
2 Cluedoking123: Prof Plum (Wrench Mustard Lead Pipe Ballroom White)
3 Jamie: Mrs Peacock (Dining Roo Revolver Green Lounge)
4 ClueLover98: Mrs White (Peacock Dagger Library Billiard Room)

For the rules I'd like to suggest standard Dutch rules:

-Rolling 2 dice instead of one; time saver
-using the secret passage no more than twice in a row;
-Allowed to stay in a room as long as you please (great when you roll low eyes)

To prevent clutter I like to continuously update the first post with the current board situation and a summary of the turns.

Please make your move upon your turn as soon as possible, preferably within three days. If you have to stop playing, let me know and I'll take over showing cards.
If somebody is slow to show card, let me know and I'll pick one to show.

Drama is not required but a nice touch.

Neat, I've never played with 'Dutch' rules before. Can I be Ms Scarlet, please? :)

Is it down to the players to PM each other with cards we can disprove with, or will you be doing that automatically for us?

I can be doing that automatically for you but if you want to play a stunt like my father did two days ago, you may do that. Or mail me in which order you'd like to show the cards.

I think it would be helpful if you told us who had to show the card and we messaged them what card we had so we get to pick. I know that I personally will get confused on who has to show who a card lol.

Dr Black's dinner party has gone awfully awry! He was found dead at the bottom of the stairs!

Can you solve the murder?

Ms Scarlet, your turn. You roll 8. That is just enough to make it to the lounge.

Ms Scarlet could simply not believe what had happened! Black...dead! What was more unusual was that shortly after the announcement everyone in the mansion had appeared to separate in their own directions. She was left alone - a fact that she was perhaps grateful for. Only now the wind seemed to be picking up outside, and it made the old corridors of the mansion creak considerably. Gathering her boa and her latest collection of cigarettes together, she forced herself to move through the halls and retreat suitably into the Lounge.

[I, Ms Scarlet, move into the Lounge]

She placed herself brilliantly onto one of the couches; the fire had died out in its place so there was little sound in the room, except for perhaps the sound of her own rising breath, and the fear of potentially, someone, yes, surely, that creepy, crusty old Colonel, creeping up behind her with a candlestick!

[I, Ms Scarlet, suggest Colonel Mustard with the Candlestick in the Lounge]

Professor Plum can show you a hint.

Professor Plum: your turn. You roll 10 and can make it to either the Study or the Hall.

Prof. Plum has been pacing up and down the long hall ways of the manor.
They'll think it's me He thinks They'll all thinks it's me. I know what I need in this! An ally!
Suddenly, the Professor bumps into a door that brings him out of his trance, he creaks it open and finds himself in the hall.

He looks around sees a piece of lead piping sitting on a side table and panics

But what if I did do this he thinks What if I killed Dr. Black in this very room with a that piece of piping!

Prof. Plum suggests: Prof. Plum in the Hall with the Lead Piping
IT'S ALL TOO SHOCKING!

Mrs Peacock cannot disprove.
Mrs White cannot disprove.
Ms Scarlet can disprove.

Mrs Peacock, it's your turn. You roll 7, which is just enough to reach the Conservatory.

Mrs Peacock wandered the grand hallways, frantically looking for a place to rest while wafting herself with her fan. ‘Oh it’s terrible, terrible. And me caught up in it all. Oh!’ She comes across a door marked ‘Serre’. “What on Earth is one of these? she asks herself. She pushes open the door and spies a plush looking yellow settee. “This’ll do nicely, she says sitting down, still wafting the fan in a vain attempt to calm herself down.
“As soon as this affair is sorted out and the killer apprehended, I can get home.
She visibly relaxes before sitting bolt upright again. “But that could take days! Maybe if I prove that I had nothing to do with it, then I’ll be free to go home.

Mrs Peacock suggests it was Mrs Peacock with the Rope in the Conservatory.

Mrs White entered the grand doors of the Ballroom. As she started to wipe the floor matted with light traces of dirt from the shoes of a man and a woman.

"Dr Black was a great dancer", Mrs. White reminisced, "And a huge Lothario too. Stupid old coot. Like anybody would want to return his advances".

"But who would danced with him? I know I didn't, and it certainly wasn't any of those snooty men. Mrs Peacock's grieving the death of her last lover too... It has to be Ms Scarlet!"

Of course, it made perfect sense. The "it girl" of the party slew the hungry, older doctor. A woman like Ms Scarlet seemed too classy to kill with a wrench or a lead pipe, but perhaps a Dagger was exactly what she'd use to kill.

Mrs White suggests Ms Scarlett with the Dagger in the Ballroom.

By Adam's request you lot do that, if ClueLover98 hasn't yet showed anything by your next turn I'll show you a card.

Mrs White suggested Ms Scarlett with the Dagger in the Ballroom.
Ms Scarlett cannot disprove this suggestion.
Professor Plum can disprove the suggestion.

Ms Scarlett, it's your turn. You were moved to the Ballroom.
You roll 10.
You can stay in the Ballroom
You can move to the Conservatory
You can move to the Billiard Room
You can move to the Kitchen
You can move to the Dining Room

After having been so rudely dragged from her comfort in the Lounge, Ms Scarlet was forced by Mrs White to assess her position in the Ballroom.

"Yes," Ms Scarlet said, "the Doc and I did share a dance here. If only I'd known it would have been our last...*sigh*. Still, I can assure you I left him very much alive! He seemed distracted the entire time, as though he had something very troubling on his mind. And you are forgetting his interest in Mrs Peacock - even if it was purely business."

She looked the servant up and down - miserable old biddy. I better find a way to stop her from soiling my name any further...

"Oh my!" she gasped, if not a little too dramatically. "What if Mrs Peacock came in here after I did and, well, you know..."

[I, Ms Scarlet, suggest Mrs Peacock with the Lead Pipe in the Ballroom]
