‒‒‒‒Scene Ten - The Study‒‒‒‒

Mister Green's idea of messing with people was to make very small changed everywhere. He pushed the desk very, very slightly off kilter, moved the decorations on the shelves very slightly, just childish pranks, really. The kinds of things that would make a person not immediately realize was wrong, but just make them feel slightly uncomfortable.

Miss Scarlet's idea of messing with people was horrible, sadistic messes, such as pouring water all over the ground and leaving an exposed wire in the resulting puddle.

"That's a bit messed up, Leona." Mister Green said, quite legitimately concerned.

Miss Scarlet walked up to him, and gave him a big kiss right on the cheek. "That's why you love me!"

While the two continued with their schmoopy nothings, Brunette could be heard screaming from the Billiard Room.

"Get out! Get out of here this instant!"

To their surprise, Mrs. Marigold ran out of the Billiard Room.

"W-Who are y-"

They barely had time to react to what happened next. Brunette hurled a billiard triangle through the open doorway, nearly missing Marigold. When marigold ducked in fear, Scarlet and Green could see the revolver she was clutching in her left hand - taken out of it's case in the billiard room. Without hesitation, Mrs. Marigold threw the door to the hall open, and ran through, pulling Mister Green by the arm.

"Hey, w-wait...!"

Miss Scarlet simply dusted off her dress, and followed the woman grabbing her hubby.

‒‒‒‒Scene Eleven - The Conservatory‒‒‒‒

Sergeant Grey was pacing back and forth, trap in hand.

"And you know what to do with vermin?"

He knew exactly what the Colonel was implying, but could he do that with a trap like this, of all things? It was a horrible way to be detained.

"And you know what to do with vermin?"

But it was for the Colonel. He cared very deeply about the Colonel's health, and he couldn't be a coward! He was many things, but he certainly wasn't a coward!

"And you know what to do with vermin?"

After a long exhale, Grey slowly put the closed leg-hold trap on a coffee table. There must be another way to do this...! There must be.

‒‒‒‒Scene Twelve - The Courtyard‒‒‒‒

It was a gorgeous afternoon, and Mrs. Peacock never truly let herself look at the statue in the courtyard. There was something she loved about it - a major reason she wanted the estate, in fact. The statue portrayed a mildly overweight woman in traditional dress. Rosemary ran her hand across the plaque under her statue.

Greyback Mansion

In honor of Mrs. Diana Black, loving wife of Sir Samson Black

My Love, My Bane, My Antidote

"Mrs. Peacock!"

Miss Peach came rushing from the rose garden up to Mrs. P, carrying the orange bag. Nurse Bluebell was struggle to keep up behind her.

"Mrs. Peacock, the vagrant is here!" Miss Peach said. "It's her camera! Look, she's been going through my things!" She pulled the pantyhose out of the bag. Mrs. Peacock took them out of her hand.

"Are you sure these are yours?"

"Look right here!" Miss Peach pointed at a small peach-colored rose hand sewn into the cuff. "I sew that onto all my clothes myself! She's been through my things!"

As if on cue, Mrs. Marigold burst through the front door, still tugging Mr. Green. Bluebell ducked behind Miss Peach and Mrs. Peacock, who instead faced the woman head on.

"That's her! It's the thief!"

"Young lady, this is private property! This is privacy at stake!" Mrs. Peacock stormed towards the doors. "I want you-"

"Not another word!"

In a moment, Mister Green was in a choke-hold with the revolver held to his right temple. The courtyard went silent.

"I-I don' want to shoot this boy! I just want to leave the island, and forget this all happened! I don't want trouble!"

The three stood in anxious silence. Mrs. Marigold was so focused on keeping Mister Green in a choke-hold, she didn't even notice Miss Scarlet sneak up behind her, and briskly wrap the wire around her neck.

"Okay, ma'am, how about we play a little game?" Miss Scarlet cooed. "Oh, but first, you have to let go of my baby, alright?"

Miss Scarlet tightened the cord, and Marigold immediately let go. Mister Green ran up to the other women.

"Okay, how about we play a hiding game?" Miss Scarlet took the wire off of the woman's neck. "I'll give you five seconds to start running around for a place to hide."

Miss Scarlet pulled the guest into the hall. "And I don't think you'll want me to find you~"

Without a moment's hesitation, Mrs. Marigold took the offer, and rushed into the Study. After only a few seconds, Mrs. Peacock clenching a pair of pantyhose, Miss Peach holding onto a revolver, and Miss Scarlet twiddling with the wire rushed through the same door. Mister Green worriedly entered the mansion, as Nurse Bluebell stood outside, dumbfounded.

‒‒‒‒Scene Thirteen - The Library‒‒‒‒

Mrs. White didn't need to see what was going on, she already knew. All the footsteps, all the noise... There was some kind of nonsense again. Mrs. White was used to it. She knew not to stick her nose into business that didn't concern her, and everything would sort itself out.

Bang!

Was that... a gunshot? She couldn't be certain. She opened the door to the Lounge, and stepped through.

‒‒‒‒Scene Fourteen - The Lookout‒‒‒‒

After a ten minute search, Mrs. Peacock was back in the lookout, gazing through the telescope. "No, all three boats are present. She couldn't have left."

"Could she have swam away?" The sergeant asked.

"Impossible."

Colonel Mustard came in through the trophy room, holding a shotgun. "I would've seen her. What fool would swim in their clothes anyways?"

Mister Green rushed up the stairs, sweating bullets. He didn't need to say anything to get everyone's attention.

"What's wrong, Forrest?" Mrs. Peacock asked. She ran up to her stepson, and put her hand on his shoulder. "Did that woman hurt you?"

"No... no, s-she's dead! She's been murdered!" Mister Green shouted.

Just like that, Mrs. Marigold was murdered. Barely knew her, didn't we? But who knew her well enough to want to murder her?

Did Miss Scarlet kill her to protect Mister Green, or maybe as some sick game?

Or did Mister Green take it on himself to protect his own life?

Mrs. Peacock had her privacy invaded and her family threatened. Did she kill the vagrant?

Mrs. Marigold was constantly invading Miss Peach's privacy. Did she find something that lead to her death?

The colonel has instructed Sergeant Grey to get rid of Elinor, but would that be motive enough to murder?

Or was a secret from the past too much for Monsieur Brunette to handle?

We'll need two detectives to ask three questions each - they may ask as many questions to one witness as they like, and they may question anyone who was present that day, suspected or not. Only the murderer can lie.

If anyone would like to play, feel free to post your three questions whenever. We'll need two detectives for each game.

I wasn't going to play as I'm away Sunday/Monday, but if no one else wants to I will.

Miss Scarlett - Did you catch up with the victim after setting off after her?
Sgt Grey - What did you do after being in the Conservatory?
Col. Mustard - Did you fire the shotgun?

“Aw, no... I plugged that wire into the wall in the study, but I don’t think she fell for it. I thought I saw her once in the billiard room, and once running downstairs in the kitchen, but it was just Miss Peach.”

Jamie wrote:

“I went to find Colonel Mustard to see if he had something less violent I could have used. I went to the cellar, and found it empty. I brought his bag upstairs for him, and he told me to look for anyone running from the lookout.

His bag only contained twenty unused leg-hold traps, sir. I don’t know where he managed to find twenty leg hold traps.”

Jamie wrote:

“I thought I could scare that woman away! I fired when I though I saw her running through the garden... and I startled Mrs. Peacock instead. Woman bolted like a deer!”

"I believe he was instructing me to restrain her, at the very least... He may have wanted me to hurt her. I don't know if he meant to murder. The colonel has very extreme methods of getting things done."

cluefan8888 wrote:

"Well, since he broke the microphone, silly! Then I plugged it in, then I threatened that woman with it, and then I plugged it in one more time to try and get her!"

cluefan8888 wrote:

"Mrs. Marigold left me fuming, so I tried to relax in the dining room, but the women were running around like crazy! I didn't have a chance to relax in most of the rooms, so I went to the cellar and had something to calm my nerves. I didn't leave until the murder was announced."

Now it's time to hear your thoughts. Who do you think committed the murder, where, and with what? Both of you, post your suggestions below.

ClueFan8888 has accused;

So we know our victim couldn't have been killed in the cellar...
She was not found mutiliated with a leg-hold trap...
And the Sergeant is still on the good side of the law

Jamie has accused;

Well, it seems we've gotten close to the solution already... but before we keep going, we have some more evidence for you to look over.

‒‒‒‒Scene Fifteen - The Ballroom‒‒‒‒

Mrs. Marigold rushed in holding a frayed electrical wire. She had an idea. It might be a bad idea... but it just might work! She attempted to tie the wire to the handle, and then to a wall sconce... to no avail. The cord was too short.

"Oh NO!" She screamed, panicking. If she couldn't lock herself into a room...! In a fit of rage, she threw the wire on the floor, struggling to think of what to do next.

‒‒‒‒Scene Sixteen - The Billiard Room‒‒‒‒

The orange sports bag was long since abandoned on the table. A very expensive camera, filled with candid photos of Miss Peach, was placed in the center of the table. Miss Peach ran in from the kitchen, holding a cleaver.

"No one will invade my space...!"

With a few heavy blows, Miss Peach heaved the camera in half.

From here on, we'll restrict our detectives to only one question before they must make their deductions. If you would like, you may post your deductions without asking a question, or you may post both at the same time. Regardless of when you post, though, accusations won't be tested until both detectives have made one.

"Lock myself? You know, Mrs. Marigold looked a lot like me in that clip, didn't she? Ah ha ha... I think she just wanted to stay safe from me. Maybe the others, too, but they didn't threaten to strangle her, did they~?"

You will get results on your accusation as soon as Jamie posts theirs.
