I'm doing a Christie play!

Post by alwaysPeacock » Wed Aug 10, 2016 5:06 am

Just received confirmation today that I've been cast in an upcoming production of Agatha Christie's "The Unexpected Guest." I'll be playing Major Julian Farrar, a local politician with a potentially scandalous connection to the murder victim's family. Given my love of Christie, Clue(do), and all things British, I'm very, very excited for this show. I also haven't worked on stage since early 2014, so this "return" (as Norma Desmond would put it) is very welcome, indeed.

SO, if anyone happens to be in/around Atlanta at the end of October/beginning of November, come see it! Michael, I know you're fairly local, so no excuses. I'll share more details once I've got them (poster, production photos, the solution if you like).

EDIT: Looks like we do already have a poster! I'm not in love with the title design (probably because I've spent so much time already with the Charles Osbourne novelization's moody cover art) but it is what it is.

Is there a cast list somewhere? (Not that I want to check and see if the hottie from the last Christie play will be in this one too... Hehe)
How do you know what kind of pictures they are if you're such a lay-dee?

I'm hoping there'll be a new TV adapt of The Unexpected Guest in the future.

Maybe you'll update us, after your run (now) is over, with titbits about the shows.

On YouTube, there's a 90s production of Verdict (by Agatha Christie) performed by teenagers.

It might be the only recording of Verdict anywhere.

Television in general hasn't adapted it (I think).

(Verdict's a whydunit than a whodunit.)
