You open the doors to the furnace to see the remnants of clothing being burned. You try to salvage a bit but the flames are too hot and the clothing is all but disintegrated.

Take Secret Passage to Courtyard
Go to Hall
Turn off the Electricity

You make your way back to the Hall.
“You really shouldn’t have gone down there.” Sergeant Gray says consoling Miss Peach.
“I just had to see him for myself.” You say
“Who would want to murder Mr. Boddy?” Madame Rose asks talking to Colonel Mustard and Mrs. White
“It seems so unnecessary.” Colonel Mustard says
“The man did horrible things.” Mrs. White says, “But I don’t think murder is the solution.”
“Oh please,” Mrs. Peacock exclaims, “No one was shouting grab the knives and ropes louder than you!”
Miss Scarlet was the one who suggested knives!” Mrs. White defends herself.
“I didn’t kill him.” Miss Scarlet says crossing her arms, “He wasn’t worth risking my freedom over.”
“You were a slave to him.” Mrs. White says, “You weren’t free.”
“I think she meant freedom from prison.” Mrs. Peacock says
“Yet someone murdered him.” Mrs. White says
“Since we all hate him,” Miss Scarlet says, “Why did we call the police?”
“Because no one deserves to be murdered!” Miss Peach shouts in tears

Sergeant Gray,” you pull him aside, “You are a police man! What do you think happened and who do you think did it.”
“Honestly,” Sergeant Gray says lowering his voice, “Professor Plum. He’s always had a temper. Every time Mr. Boddy would refuse to give him cash he would have a raging temper tantrum. One time it ended in assault. Imagine Professor Plum’s reaction to being double-crossed.”

You begin to search the hall. The most notable thing is the shining silver candlestick next to its twin, which it less polished and dusty. By the consistency of the scuffs and marks on the floor you can tell that this floor hasn’t been cleaned in a while. You are almost certain that the murder didn’t take place in such an open and accessible room.

The same childish urge that forced you to paint a mustache on the nude portrait of Sergeant Gray now urges you to switch off the electricity. You open the cellar door and pull the main switch which is on the wall at the top of the stairs.
“Oh my God!”
“Not again!”
“Turn on the lights!”

Under the cover of darkness you sneak into the Kitchen. It is hard to see in here, seeing how the lights are out but you can tell there is an object on the floor.

Enter Pantry
Search Kitchen

Feeling around in the dark as best as you can, you discover the Knife from Miss Scarlet’s coat lying in the middle of the Kitchen floor. Upon inspecting the Knife you remember the Revolver you have stashed away, only to find that it is no longer in your pocket! It appears you must have lost it at some point this afternoon. Feeling along the walls to become familiar with the dark environment you find that the spice rack moves on a hinge with the wall behind it. You have discovered another Secret Passage!

Return to Hall
Enter Pantry
Take Knife
Enter Secret Passage

You push the hinged wall further to find it is quite rusty and stubborn. You manage to force your way into the secret passage as the electricity is turning back on. The switch on the cobweb covered, cracked brick wall doesn’t illuminate the tunnel at all except for two lights of the series that hang on the ceiling. You make your way through the darkness and through the cobwebs in a hurry. You were never fond of cobwebs, or the creature that make them. In your haste you trip over something on the floor. You quickly stand up and tears rush to your eyes. The flashback you had in the Drawing Room about your mother’s true demise and this discovery is all too sudden. You stare in silence at the skeleton in woman’s tattered clothing on the floor…
“Mom.” You bend over and pick up the pewter train which is discarded next to her cracked skull, “I’m going to find out who killed John. I’m going to make them pay… for taking away my own desire to kill that sick son of a bitch.”
You strut along with confidence as you exit through the other side of the secret passage. You find yourself coming from behind a bookcase in the Library. You enter the Library and are greeted by the harsh glare of the crystal chandelier.

Return to the Kitchen
Enter Hall
Search the Library
Take the Wrench

(My phone failed to notify me that someone had replied. I apologize for the hiatus)

You search the Library. The most obvious thing you come across is the Wrench on the sheep skin rug in front of the fireplace. It is clearly the same Wrench that you first saw outside of the windows in the Courtyard and once again next to Sergeant Gray amongst the glass in the Conservatory.

You grab the Wrench and make your way back to the Hall as you do so you hear two unrecognizable voices heading towards the Library door.

Hide in the Secret Passage
Walk into the Hall anyway
