Has anyone else here tried A Matter of Murder?
Before Clue arrived on Android, I came across it and found it extremely charming, with obvious nods to Agatha Christie.

You basically solve a murder in a manor with five suspects you can question regarding alibis, the possible weapon and motivations.
All the while, a clock ticks down to the inevitable arrival of the police.
Your task is to solve it before they arrive.
There's 13 starting mysteries and a randomizer that generates a new case for unlimited play.

I like the art, as well, which in part reminds me of Gorey's Mystery! openers.

No. I haven't sounds like fun though. I wonder if there's an iOS version.

And welcome!

I'll add that I liked it so much, I bought it on Steam, as well.
It's truly a hidden gem, IMO.

This is one of my favorite point-and-click style mobile games. I do find it's sometimes annoyingly vague, and the characters tend to walk away without revealing anything useful too often. But it reminds me of the old DOS game Sleuth in that regard, and does make it pretty satisfying when you finally get someone to talk to you & you can solve the crime.

I'd forgotten about it, honestly, until I saw this thread. I'll have to reinstall it, give it another go.

I love it.
And it gives me a game to rotate with Clue to avoid burn out.

They had an update a couple months ago that added another character to the pool, bringing the number of possible suspects to 16.

Thanks for mentioning Sleuth. I looked it up and found it at the Internet Archive. Will check it out.

There's also a web-based game called 'Sleuth' (no relation to the other) that I used to play.
Unfortunately, it's only playable in the browser. But I really did like the mechanics.
