Which is the best Marmalade theme?

Post by Jonathan Green » Wed Dec 04, 2019 5:32 pm

Since Monopoly just hit mobile stores, and Tropical seems to be the last theme, why not talk about our favorite themes from MGS Clue.
MGS Clue is an amazing game, a close second Clue: Murder at Boddy Mansion. Beautiful artwork, nice graphic, great atmospheric music, it's way better the EA's Clue game.

For those who don't know, there are ten themes (I'm not counting International because those are just suspects)

1. Tudor Mansion (which is based on the 2016 edition.)
2. Classic Mansion (My favorite)
3. Hollywood Studios (Another favorite)
4. Vampire Castle
5. Snowy Peaks
6. Murder Express
7. Wild West
8. Venetian Masquerade
9. Sherlock
10. Tropical Island

I voted Vampire - strong character interpretations with an appropriately moody theme (Also showcases the original 6 characters with White). I almost voted Classic, though I found some of the poses weird in that, and also didn't like that they didn't bother with unique pawns besides White.

I like the idea of the Sherlock one, but Sherlock and Watson are suspects and potentially murderers which doesn’t seem right. It would work better thematically if the players took on the roles of investigators with the suspects being completely separate. I think it would be better to have Sherlock, Watson, Miss Marple, Hercules Poirot, etc to play as, and have the suspects be people like Jack the Ripper, H.H.Holmes, and Lizzie Borden.

I too think some of the poses are weird, especially with Dr. Orchid. I also don’t like how Mustard looks.

Tudor. I like that it has a world where so many characters (6 originals, Orchid, the Master Detective squad, and Azure) can all co-exist in the same style.

Sephiroths theme is One-Winged Angel. But Id have to vote for the Aria Di Mezzo Caraterre. If youve played FF6 you probably know what I mean.
