In memorial of Larry Hagman's death, DALLAS Clue.
This would have been a great edition to market along with the who shot JR phenomenon.
Someone tried to kill JR Ewing. Was it:
Bobby Ewing - Mustard
Sue Ellen Ewing - Scarlett
Jock Ewing - Green
Miss Ellie Ewing - White
Cliff Barnes - Plum
Pamela Barnes Ewing - Peacock
Of course "I dream of Jeanie" works pretty well too.
Dr. Bellows finally has the proof he needs to get Tony kicked out of the space program. But before he could reveal it to General Peterson, somebody killed him. Was it:
Maj Nelson - Mustard
Jeanie - Scarlet
Maj Healy - Green
Amanda Bellows - White
Jeanie's sister - Peacock
The Blue Djin - Plum

With the discovery of the Alien-themed Clue game, I was reminded of this thread.
With a return and reboot of a lot of classic TV shows, I was thinking of a few fun shows that would make for good branded games:
Lost In Space:
Judy returns to the Jupiter after gathering flowers, only to discover someone has finally killed Dr. Smith. Was it:
John Robinson
Maureen Robinson
Will Robinson
Penny Robinson
Don West
The Robot
I can't decide if the robot makes for a better suspect, or a weapon. In the latter instance, Judy would be a suspect too.
Gillian's Island is still one of my favorite adaptions for Clue as discussed here:

Had an idea for an elaborate Willy Wonka Clue.
Objective: Who killed Slugworth?
Willy Wonka (Plum)
Veruca Salt (Scarlet)
Violet Beauregarde (Peacock)
Augustus Gloop (Green)
Mike Teavee (Mustard)
Grandpa Joe (White)
Mrs. Gloop (Rose)
Mr. Salt (Brunette)
Mr. Beauregarde (Grey)
Mrs. Teavee (Peach)
Weapons:
Wonka's Cane
Exploding Candy
Poisoned Everlasting Gobstopper
3-Course Gum
Golden Egg
Death by Chocolate
Fizzy Lifting Drink
Liquorice String
Rooms:
Main Gates (Hall)
Contract Room (Lounge)
Chocolate Room (Dining Room)
Wonkavision (Kitchen)
Inventing Room (Ballroom)
Egg-Sorting Room (Conservatory
Fizzy Lifting Drinks ( Billiard Room)
Lickable Wallpaper (Library)
Wonka's Office (Study)
Somehow, I'm having trouble working in Charlie, if he could be some non-playable protagonist, like the Inspector role sometimes is in certain editions. Also, I guess the Oompa Loompas could represent snoop spaces or some "special" event.

I've not read the book but I would say swap Augustus and Mr Salt around (if we're going by the original movie) Mr. Salt bares a resemblance to Mr. Green in Master Detective and Augustus is foreign and could fit Brunette
Instead of Slugworth as he was never in the factory. You could have Wonka as Boddy and Charlie as Plum and have it like Munitzer's Blueprint Game where there is a different victim everytime you play

Going by some sense of the colour scheme, Augustus wears green in the movie, and Mr. Salt wore a brown suit. And most obviously Wonka wore a vivid plum coat.Black wrote:I've not read the book but I would say swap Augustus and Mr Salt around (if we're going by the original movie) Mr. Salt bares a resemblance to Mr. Green in Master Detective and Augustus is foreign and could fit Brunette

Personality wise, yes, Mr. Salt does match the Green persona, I agree. Charlie doesn't strike me as Plum as much as Wonka does.
Slugworth lends himself to the obvious victim choice as he was set up as the film's villain. As another point though to correct you on, without hopefully spoiling the movie, yes, Slugworth aka Mr. Wilkison was indeed in the factory.

I love the idea of Willy Wonka .. it's more likely that it would be given the family-friendly treatment, with a plot more along the lines of who stole the ever-lasting gobstopper? So what guest, in what room, with what device? Or maybe someone stole the top secret candy from one of the rooms ... find out which candy it was.
Or make it about which character got lost in which room through which device? You could add Willy Wonka into it that way, as there's no reason to believe he couldn't fall victim to his own devices. Or make it a Disney situation -- one of the characters frightened someone in one of the rooms with something. I don't know about you, but those golden geese are scary!
