Clue "Frankensteins"

Post by Sir Shamrock » Sat Feb 03, 2018 9:15 pm

Do you enjoy using the 2002 edition style pawns but hate how there's only 12 suspects represented? Then this is for you!

Below are ways that the basic 12 can be made into more suspects to create a 2002 Clue Master Detective with all the favorites

(As it turns out, painting is incredibly hard! So most of these pictures will be the "before" kind)

First things first, Inspector/Captain Brown

Image

What you need for this is the head of Col. Mustard glued on the body of Mr. Green. Paint it brown and then you're good to go.

(This was obviously my first one...)[/img]

Coming up next is Ashe

Image

For this, you take Mr. Green's head and put it on Prof. Plum's body, and then paint it black

(If you notice, instead of scratching his chin, he's adjusting his tie)[/img]

Now Monseiur Brunette

Image

Take Prof. Plum's head, give him a hair cut, put him on Rusty's body, and then glue the hat on backwards like a beret. Finally convert the shovel into a cane and paint brownish
(Eye-patch is optional  )

Here comes Dr. Prussian

Image

Place Prince Azure's head on Mustard's leftovers, cut off the thumb, finger, and whip, then paint blue. If you want to live on the edge, paint some hair and gloves on[/img]

Mr. Gold

Image

Rusty's head goes on Azure's body, then paint hair and gloves on, and go nuts with the gold paint[/img]

Now for the women, Mme. Rose

Image

Rose needs Meadow-Brook's head with Mrs. White, while moving White's right arm 180 degrees. With a coat of pink paint, she's good to go

For Lady Oakwood...

Image

Peacock's head goes on Meadow-Brook, then shave round the neck, and paint light brown

Mrs. Silver

Image

Glue Mrs. White's head onto Mrs. Peacock's body, turn the left arm, and trim the scarf a little (but not to much). Finally give her a coat of gray

Dr. Orchid got the short end of the stick
(Miss Scarlet is impossible to cleanly cut)

Image

Lady Lavender's head on Miss Scarlet (good luck), then some slight trimming to make it look more natural. Cover up any mistakes with pinkish paint

Finally Mme. Mystic (Mystique's not a real color!)

Image

Scarlet's head and most of her hair goes on top of Lavender, and then cut the bottle off and turn the arm to make her look sassy. A brown-pink paint should do the trick

The best part about this is that you only need one set to complete it all ! :D

Thanks for listening, hope this all works out, painted versions coming "soon"

On a side note:

Has anyone tried painting the new Cluefo figurines with Dr. Orchid?

Forgot about these lol. Yeah I painted some of them but the results were less than perfect. When I get home I'll try to post some pictures

So I'm gonna be honest with you guys, I do not know how to paint

Image

The paint and the figures were incredibly uncouperative. The paint would either not show, lose its shine, or cause a chemical reaction that would make it sticky. The best one was probably Ashe, but whenever you touch it the paint would stick to your hands. However making a second version of Inspector Brown was easier this time, I just won't dare paint it. I'm sure someone with more experience in this area would do a much better job at this. But all is not lost, my father has a few more Clue figures to use on his train layout :D
