I think I may have finished the board. I've added all the secret passages and clue spaces and tidied a few thing up and I think that's about all I need to do for now. Next I need to get to work on the cards.

Here are some pics of the full board and some closeup shots.

Thanks :)

I'm working on the cards now, the design has changed quite a bit as I'm trying to make sure everything ties together well visually.
Below is a picture of some of the cards - do you think they look better with or without the blood? I'm undecided at the moment. :?

Now that you've toned it down, I like it with the blood.

There are fish in the fountain? I never knew that - the English version doesn't.

Out of interest, have you considered using the passport to murder images for the weapons?

Hello, I certainly considered it but unfortunately I don't own Passport to murder and couldn't find any good quality images of the cards online. Also passport to murder has very distinctive artwork and I don't think it would work well with the 'master detective' room art I've used.

I wouldn't mind giving it a go though if anyone has access to good quality scans of the passport to murder cards.

Really nice work. I think the colors all turned out great. I do like the monochrome look, but I also liked your original high contrasting colors. But, while the weapons cards blend right in, the extremely colorful room and suspect cards kind of pop against the subtle colors used throughout the rest of your design. I'd almost consider toning them down a bit, making them more like sepia-toned photos, similar to the weapons cards.

Thanks for the reply, I do tend to agree with you. I've made a couple of the cards in a mono colour to see how they look. What does everyone think - better to keep the colourful images or go for a more consistent look with the monochromatic art? I was originally concerned with keeping the suspects in colour as it's so integral to the characters but really it probably doesn't matter.

I think putting the rooms in mono and leaving the suspects as it would be a nice stylistic choice. The characters are derived from their colors - putting emphasis on them may look nice.

I think the suspects in mono could work if you were introducing a victim element to the game like Munitzer's Blueprint game or Clue: Murder At Sea.

I prefer the rooms in colour personally.

Thanks for the replies - though I'm more unsure now than I was to begin with

Anyone else like to offer an opinion that might help me decide (or possibly confuse me more)?

I totally think you should keep it in color. The weapons looks fine, but the rooms and suspects looks...well, monotone. They weren't drawn to be black and white.

The board looks great by the way.
