FYI, a lot of incomplete Franklin Mint games have been showing up on eBay for some reason, and selling for very little. Arguably, the board and pieces are the most important part of this particular game. The detective notes are not particularly notable, and the cards can be duplicated, or obtained from a much less expensive Restoration Hardware/Boarders/Winning Solutions set. And I've never been a big fan of the painted resin book (I think they could have done much better). The instructions are worth having, but those too can be easily obtained.
Some I have seen are just boards with nothing else, but even those offer a great opportunity to customize and acquire missing pieces over time (which also show up on eBay from time to time).
