So, recently, my friend started work at an ad agency that works with Hasbro. She said that they are coming out with a new Clue game soon, but it will feature teens and be aimed towards younger players. She couldn't tell me any specifics, but I imagine it'll be akin to that one with the art students in Paris or whatever it was.
She also said that she HATES the Hasbro guys. She says they're complete idiots, very unprofessional. They talk during pitches, laugh at stupid things, she equated them to frat boys in their 30s. So this confirms what we always suspected, that those in charge at Hasbro are idiots, and that they aren't going to be heading in the traditional direction we're all fond of anytime soon. |

Hey Nightshade, did you ever ask your friend if Clue: The Classic Mystery Game" was the one she was talking about? I had completely forgotten you had this connection until this thread got resurrected ...
If so, it does appear they did return to the roots of Clue a bit, if not entirely.
More importantly, of you haven't, try to find out when Hasbro expects to ship this game domestically, and why it's already available internationally ...
Oh wait, I just had a thought ... At least in Australia ... Since its' Winter down under, is there more of an incentive to release board games during June-August when people are in their homes staying warm, rather than around Christmas when it's warm and sunny and people tend to be at the beach?
Still doesn't explain England though ... |
