Luckily, our new english assignment is to write a five minute mystery. I looked over a bunch of ideas I've made in the past, and I can't choose between a few. Which of these do you think sounds the most interesting:

*A stage director's hanged body being lowered on stage after the final curtain call.
*A world famous magician falling onto a set of spikes through a 'malfunctioning' trick trapdoor at the end of a performance.
*A singer being crushed by a falling loudspeaker in the middle of a show.

Which of these do you think sounds the most interesting?

Of the ideas I like the first one the most, as it sounds like the murder could be quite clever, but it probably might be too involved for a 'five minute' mystery.

I got in touch with an artist from Poland about doing some artwork to make my blog look a little more interesting. There's no set time frame but the ideas we've bounced around are all quite interesting! I hope I'll be able to have some more definite information soon...

The frist one is the best Zoo.

The third one would be better if the singer was electricuted during there performance.

All of them! Of course, I expect they'll need a lot of special effects to pull them off safely.

Today, I played a rather fun quest called "Whodunit" in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. It took some clear influence from Clue and Agatha Christi.

Its flavor text even reads:

Summitmist Manor; there were six on the night of last and then there were none... save one.

My character and five others were locked in a house, and it was my job to kill each of them one by one without being detected while they searched for a chest of gold that didn't exist.

The suspects/victims were suitably archetypical: The beautiful young woman, the snooty older lady, the drunkard, the retired military man, and the handsome young aristocrat.

Here's how things ended up progressing:

After getting on the young woman's good side, I sent her off to the aristocrat's room under the pretense of staging a romantic meeting with him.

I then got the older lady to form an "alliance" with me to find the gold, and I sent her to the basement so she would be out of the way.

I then slipped a poisoned apple to the aristocrat, and he became my first corpse.

While the drunkard gorged himself on ale, I crept upstairs to find the military man napping. I let him be, but I then snuck into the aristocrat's room and bludgeoned the young woman to death in her sleep.

When that was done, I went to my own room and slept. In the morning, before the older lady and the military man were up and about, I found the drunk and promptly put an arrow through his head.

After a few bribes, the military man was staunchly on my side, and with nobody left but him, me, and the older lady, he decided she was the murderer. He armed himself with a mace and killed her in the dining room.

He then asked me to help him find a way out of the manor. But when his back was turned, I knifed him to death.

I then escaped to claim my compensation for the assassinations.

It was actually a pretty clever little quest, and it's my favorite one I've played so far.

Well that much is obvious, but what made her famous in the first place? And why can I never check my Yahoo mail without finding out just what she's done over the weekend?

It's a sequel to Hotel Dusk. Pretty much, it's both Marie Rivet and Margaret Patrice's back stories that got to me.

Speaking of games, I've been playing a gem calledCorpse Party, and it may be one of the most frightening and disturbing games I've ever played. And I'm not even a Japanese horror fan.

I just hate the weird title. It sounds like a mistranslation of Dead Man's Party or something.
