For the next 25 days, I will be creating a quick Clue mystery. The Clue characters are invited to a deadly retreat for the holidays.

It's set at Boddy's elusive mountain chateau. Original? Not really. But I'm creating this in a short un-planned span of time.

Very nice! I love the simplicity with the characters yet the elegance they hold.

Only Lady Lavender's feet fell off. Unless her show color is black.

Introduction

A few months earlier...

Mr. Boddy stood by the window of his private study, but it was neither the mountain view, nor the light falling snow that he was so carefully studying. No. His eyes glanced over the invitation that had been sent out to 24 of his closest friends.

"Well! It's that time of year again! No, not Winterfest with Mrs. White's world famous roast. Think bright red babbles twinkling merrily on the big old Christmas tree so proudly displayed in the Great Hall. This year will be slightly different from the previous Christmases at my Chateau (Christ-MESS of '05 anyone?). Unfortunately, I cannot reveal what I have in store for this year, because, well, that would downright ruin it, eh, eh, eh? Or should I write ho! ho! HO! Enough funny business. Remember, this is the time of year where we take time to pause from our busy lives and think of each other. We never know how many more Christmases well have together as friends and family, or even how long we have on this Earth. But enough gloom. This is supposed to be a time of joy and sharing. I hope you all remember to come in festive spirit and (optionally) festive attire. (Weather permitting)

Please arrive at 8 o clock sharp in the hunting lodge at the foot of the mountain. There, you will catch up on old and new faces. Come December 1st, we will be in for a holiday treat like no other.

Sincerely,
Mr. John Boddy aka Kringle of the Chateau.

P.S. And yes, Mrs. White's famous roast will be in tow. Wink"

Mr. Boddy smiled as he folded up the invitation.

"First they'll arrive...and then....I'm going to kill them ALL!"

He then swung open a bookcase leading to a secret passage where one of the guests squirmed bound and gagged on the floor. Mr. Boddy produced a silver revolver from this coat pocket...and shot 'em!

BANG!

(I'm very sleepy writing this chapter, but I want to get it done before December 1st is over.)

DAY 1

The Hunting Lodge

Three gentlemen had already arrived in the hunting lodge. Old familiar faces. Colonel Mustard sat on the chesterfield sipping coffee and reading a old issue of Hunting Illustrated, Professor Plum sat opposite of Mustard with his new protegee, James Navy. Being one of his top students at Oxford, Plum cleared it with Boddy to allow the young boffin to join him for the vacation. He eyed the young man with a stern, longing gaze.

"Professor Plum, is everything alright?"

The scientist snapped to attention.

"What? Oh yes, just a tad jet lagged, that's all."

"Yes, I am too."

"I have some tonic if either you gentlemen care," Mustard chimed.

"No, thank you."

The large clock on the stone mantle struck eight announcing itself throughout the lodge.

"Well, where the devil is everyone else?" Mustard barked.

"No clue." Said Plum.

Almost on cue, the door swung open and in entered three more men. A large old salt by the name of Captain Seafoam entered first. He was followed by a another man of great stature, M. Brunette. Lastly, a slim, handsome man slinked in and and plucked a glass of whiskey and soda from the sideboard. This man was Baron Bronze. He was rich man from Montreal who made his money in smelting only to take on a British citizenship in order obtain his title.

"Arthur," Greeted Colonel Mustard, shaking his hand, "I thought you'd be traveling with the royals."

"I left in a hurry." The Baron replied.

"How do you do sir," Said Master Navy, full of energy and confidence, "I'm James Navy from Oxfordshire."

"Yes I see," Bronze answered, oblivious.

He turned back to the Colonel.

"Any word from Boddy."

"No."

"Hmm. How odd."

He proceed to the phone and rang it.

A voice answered.

"Yes sir?"

"May I speak with Boddy?"

"He isn't here sir."

"Who is this?"

"Mr. Ashe, the butler sir."

"Where's Boddy?"

"He will be late, sir."

"Late? Why?'

"I don't know sir."

"Well my good sir, we're all waiting down here in the lodge."

"As expected sir. It is within my instruction to take the coach down at 9 o clock."

"A whole hour?"

"It it's a long ride sir."

"Good grief! That will be all my good sir."

"Thank you sir. See you in an hour."

During this exchange, Colonel Mustard had moved towards to Brunette and Seafoam. Both men looked back.

"Did you tell him?"

Brunette gave a slight bow.

"Oui Colonel. Eet eez all settled."

The Royal Coach

Racing through the snowy path at the foot of the mountain, a gold and silver coach, drawn by four white horses made it's way to the lodge. It was speeding at an exceptional rate.

"We're late!" Sir Gold cried.

"Calm down Ernest," A dark man with a silky voice reassured, "Boddy will wait."

This man was Prince Azure, a royal from Monaco where he met Boddy during a windsurfing expedition. Their mutual interest in thrill was undeniable.

Sir Gold was quite the opposite, skeptical of the coach's durability on this toughened trail.

"When was the last time this trail was clear-cutted? The horses could trip and break a hoof!"

Travelling opposite of the two men were their female companions. Countess Silver and Lady Lavender.

Silver lovingly patted the trembling leg of her beau.

"Not to worry dear," She reassured, "We are passing the Waddington mountains! Won't be much longer."

Lady Lavender looked out the window apprehensively. Like Gold, she was a nervous creature, musing over the terrible things that could happen while travelling.

"What are we going to do for a whole month at Mr. Boddy's?" She asked her dashing lover.

Prince Azure flashed a grin.

"The very mountain Mr. Boddy's chateau resides boasts the finest slopes from for downhill skiing..."

"I wouldn't like that sort of thing!" Lavender insisted.

"If that doesn't please mademoiselle, perhaps a stroll through his historic hedge garden, filled with ancestral statues and hidden vaults? Afterward, we can take refuge in his private wine cellar where we may dance the night away, sipping his finest labels...none quite as full-bodied as mine back at the palace, mind you."

"Well...that sounds a little better."

"Are you alright my dear? Your voice...it's taken a rather deep pitch."

"This dry air...really."

(Alright, it's clear I won't get all of this up before midnight, but I want to get all of Day 1 finished before I go to bed.)

The Hunting Lodge

Three more guests had arrived.

Mr. and Mrs. Meadow-Brook; the lawyer of Mr. Boddy and his wife respectively. Their third travelling companion was Miss Scarlet; an A-list actress from Hollywood who had dated Mr. Boddy on several occasions, but now their relationship has taken on a more friendly tone, or so it would seem. Mrs. Meadow-Brook made her sit in the back of their limousine so she wouldn't have to stare at Scarlet's bouffant the whole ride.

"Ugh Miles, how could you let that floosy in our limo?" She whined at her seemingly more mild-mannered hubby, "She praticually STANK up the car for the past three hours with her new Couture Classique purfume!"

"Well, Diane is a close friend and she needed a ride, Jane."

He knew that this excuse would fall on deaf ears, but what could the poor man do?

"I mean, really!"

All the men rose to attention upon Scarlet's entrance.

"Hello boys." She cooed.

"Oh..God." Jane muttered under her breath.

Scarlet approached Navy who blushed profusely.

"What a handsome boy you are! So young..."

"I..I'm James!"

Professor Plum intervened.

"Ahem, James is a very dear student of mine. His academic record is impeccable and he has consistently been active participant of my chemistry lectures. He's even taught me a thing or two about natural chemistry!"

Navy blushed again.

"That's nice!"

Scarlet smiled vapidly and made her way to Captain Seafoam who took off his hat and gave a hearty grin.

Hunting Lodge W/C

Mrs. Meadow-Brook discreetly lead Baron Bronze into the bathroom where they shared a passionate kiss.

"Finally Arthur," She breathed, "Away from that scarlet tart and my loser hubby.

"I almost feel sorry for him." Bronze admitted.

"That'd be a first." Jane sneered.

"Boddy is taking his dear time retrieving us from this lodge."

"How long will it be?"

"Thirty minutes till the coach arrives."

"Well, until then..."

And they both dipped down for more.

Family Coach

A more modest coach carried the relatives of Mr. Boddy. Inside, it held Grandma Liverwurst, an octogenarian and last living grand-parent of Boddy's. She has gotten senile over the years. By her side was Dr. Black; the family physician who was administering Grandma's meds. Opposite to them was Boddy's sister Aunt Carole Burgundy and her bratty niece Olivia Drab. Traveling with them was a close acquaintance, the Reverend Johnathan Green.

"Auntie!" Cried Olivia, "Mister Green is touching me again!"

"Oh I wouldn't do such a thing!" Green protested, recoiling.

"Maybe your bothering him!" Aunt Burgundy scolded, "Now, I hope you are on your best behavior for Uncle Boddy."

"Yessss." Olivia groaned.

"Tell you what!" Perked Dr. Black, "If you keep quiet for your dear granny, I'll give you a sucker when we arrive at Uncle Boddy's!"

"Auntie!? Why do we have to travel with these creepy men?"

"That will be enough from you, young lady!" Aunt Burgundy snapped, "Now, I want you to apologize to the nice Doctor and Reverend."

There was a pause.

"Sorry....Doctor Black and Reverend Green."

"Apology accepted." Green reaffirmed.

"Now Miss Olivia," Said Doctor Black, "Do you know why you must keep quiet for your granny?"

"Because she's sleeping."

"Correct!" Black answered, "Because she's sleeping."

As he said this, his left hand groped her cooter.

(This chapter will be overdue and I'll have to continue tomorrow because I'm **** tired and cannot continue tonight. Sorry for this lame last bit.)

Chateau Study

We return to the Chateau Study, where previously, a horrific event took place. However, that remained unknown to Mr. Rusty; renowned author and horticulturist who sat in ignorance to the violence that occurred months before. He was nibbling on roasted peanuts. The bowl was nearly empty.

Mrs. White, the cook and caretaker of the chateau entered the Study.

"Oh Mr. Rusty, still here I see. Would you like some more peanuts?"

"Oh no Mrs. White, I'll surely get thirsty. In fact, I already am. May I have glass of water?"

"Of course, dearie."

She waddled out and down the corridor, passing by Mr. Ashe who now was decked out in outerwear.

"Taking the coach down now, Cyril?" She asked.

"Yes Blanche. They will be waiting."

In the meantime, everyone interested, send me a vote as to who you'd like to see dead tomorrow. You may also ask a suspect a question if you wish. That's another feature of the mystery. You can talk to the suspects as frequently as you please. You may ask just about anything. Just send me a PM with you question and to whom it's addressed.

The Outskirts

One of the cars carrying the last of Boddy's guests had came to an abrupt halt, having attempted to drive over an ingrown root caused the tire to blow out. Inside the car sat three irritated ladies.

"Whose going to fetch the spare tire?" Ask Miss Peach meekly.

Mrs. Peacock sat upfront at the wheel, huffing away.

"We certainly NOT me!" She affirmed, "I don't do joe jobs."

"Gudness" Madame Rose bemoaned in a thick Hungarian accent, "Wu'll catch our duth uf cold out 'ear!"

The three ladies were part of the white gloved society. Mrs. Peacock was vice-president of the club and was well acquainted to Mr. Boddy through his mother. Ms. Peach was a member and manners-coach, and Madame Rose who obstinately joined the Club months back with the influence of her wealth.

Mrs. Peacock was the chauffeur (Her actual chauffeur had caught a mysterious virus leaving Mrs. Peacock to drive her own Roll-Royce, much to her annoyance.)

The Hunting Lodge

By now, Mr. Ashe had brought the 30-seat tram coach to the foot of the mountain where the visitors obstinately awaited him.

"It's about bloody time!" Spat Captain Seafoam.

"Sorry for the wait, sir." Mr. Ashe said apologetically.

"Will somebody take my bags?" Mrs. Meadow-Brook ordered.

"Yes ma'am," Ashe meekly replied scrambling to retrieve the assortment of luggage.

Master Navy and Monsieur Brunette offered him some assitances.

"As a gentlemen like myself would oblige, mon cheri." Brunette said dutifully as he retrieved Miss Scarlet's steamer trunk.

Olivia was jumping up and down.

"Were about to go on a train!"

Grandma Liverwurst clapped at her grandniece's antics.

"It's be such a loooooong time since I've been on a train. Why I remember when I was a little girl, I rode on the Orient Express! What a trip that was. A nasty man was killed in the middle of the night and I could hardly sleep with twelve murderers roaming about!"

"That sounds like an Agatha Christie book." Said Dr. Black.

"No!" The old biddy insisted, "It really happened!"

As soon as the royal carriage carrying Sir Gold, Countess Silver, Prince Azure and Lady Lavender pulled in, the visitors were ready to board the coach.

"What a frightful ride!" Sir Gold sighed.

"Jane honey?" Called Mr. Meadow-Brook, "Where are you?"

Mrs. Meadow-Brook had already made a move to sit next to Baron Bronze.

"Funny," She said low to him, "I would have thought Boddy would be down here to meet us."

"I'd thought he would too!"

They sat in this order.

Seat 1 held Olivia and Aunt Burgundy

Seat 2 held Dr. Black and Grandma Liverwurst

Seat 3 held Miss Scarlet and M. Brunette

Seat 4 held Colonel Mustard and Captain Seafoam

Seat 5 held Professor Plum and Master Navy

Seat 6 held Sir Gold and Countess Silver

Seat 7 held Baron Bronze and Mrs. Meadow-Brook

Seat 8 held Prince Azure and Lady Lavender

Seat 9 held Reverend Green and Mr. Meadow-Brook

Lastly Mr. Ashe manned the controls.

And with a flip of the switch, the tram took off offering a awe-inspiring view of the mountain valley.

The Outskirts

A police car drove up to the helpless ladies.

"Can I help you ma'am?" Asks the officer inside.

"Yes!" Cries Madame Rose, "We ur stunded 'ear in da cold!"

"Officer, you must have this whole area clear brushed at once!" Demanded Mrs. Peacock, "Were late!"

"Where are you ladies heading?" He asked.

"To Mr. John Boddy's at his castle at the top of that mountain!" Peacock answered, pointing towards a castle presently atop of the mountain in the distance.

"I can give you a lift." The officer offered.

The ladies looked uncertain at each other.

"Oh...very well." Peacock sighed.

And they all climbed inside.

"When was the last time this car had been cleaned?"

"Sorry for the mess," Said the officer whose name tag read Sgt. Gray, "This car was just recently used to transport a dangerous criminal!"

"Oh my!" Exclaimed Miss Peach, "How dreadful!"

"Whut wuz za crime?" Rose inquested.

"Hehe...murder!" Replied Grey, "Heh, just kidding. Anyway, I'll get the three of you to Boddy's in a jiffy."

And off they went.

Boddy's Chateau

At last the tram had transported the guests to Boddy's Christmas retreat. Mr. Ashe turned off the motor and proceeded to the front doors.

"It is my duty to announce that Mr. Boddy will not be arriving till tomorrow. He has been held over at a business convention."

"What?" Snapped Colonel Mustard.

"Of all the nerve!" Exclaimed Countess Silver.

Just then, Gray's police car came putt-putting up the mountainside.

Mrs. Peacock, Madame Rose and Miss Peach daintily exited the car. Mrs. Peacock thanked the officer as the guests proceeded into the chateau.

Mr. Rusty exited the Study to see the guests file in.

"My, my!" He squealed, "What an excitable bunch of people!"

"Who are you?" Asked Miss Scarlet.

"I'm Norman Rusty. I had been asked to by Mr. Boddy to tend to his winter-garden this season. It gives me a chance to catch up on my writing too."

"I love your cookbooks!" Cracked Grandma Liverwurst.

"Err...anyway," Rusty continued, "so you all don't get lost here's a map of the estate."
