Sleeping with the Fishes

As you know, there's always something going around in my brain area. I've been quite bored lately, with school starting, but not having anything to really work on. So, I've decided to start up another clue game to fill up my extra time. I'm also working on it to make up for Stop and Push the daisies", as I deleted the uploaded files right before the purge.

Enough rambling; here are my ideas for it:

PLOT

Captain Brown recently came across a large sum of money. Excited, he brought a number of close friends onto his ship to celebrate: A poker partner, a fellow ex military man, his past maid, the local vicar, his bridge partner, a close family friend, his daughter, and a finance adviser. While on the ship, his finance adviser, Victor Temm, decides to try and make a little nest egg by taking Captain Brown's. In the end, one of these guests decided to kill Victor. The body would have gone undiscovered, of course, if it hadn't fallen onto (and bloodied) one of the propeller blades on the back of the ship. When everyone found the body, the accusations began flying.
But who really killed him?

CAST (in rolling order)

Captain Robert Brown

After gaining a large amount of money from winning a Las Vegas jackpot, Captain Brown decided to hold a little party. Of course, this little party lead to a large theft; About ten thousand dollars, in fact. Captain Brown admits to fighting with the victim, but did Brown do more than that?

Miss Vivienne Scarlet

Don't even bother talking to her unless you're complimenting her or giving her a gift; She'll ignore you. Even so, she's not the type to resist a nice party or a handsome man. Of course, in her eyes, the victim fell under the latter category. When Victor denied her (by slapping her), did she snap, pick up a flare gun...

Colonel Algernon Mustard

Ex SAS man, close friend of Captain Brown, and lover of Miss Scarlet. Well, usually. On the night of the murder, he had just sat down in the main room, when Miss Scarlet ran up to him, tears in her eyes, telling him Victor had rejected him and hit her. Were his broken heart and Vivienne's nearly broken cheek bone enough to convince him to murder?

Mrs. Blanche White

Blanche was a maid Robert clearly remembered having around the house when he was a kid. With the opportunity to meet little Robbie, and possibly snatch up a few hundred dollars, she gladly decided to go onto Captain Brown's house boat. But, there was another face he knew all too well; Victor, a man who once blackmailed her. Maybe White decide to cover up some past guilt by shedding some modern blood...

Reverend Jonothan Green

Pastor of the parish, and voice of reason in Arlington, the Reverend is cheerful, but maybe a bit too obsessed with saving the moles. Nevertheless, he decided to travel to Captain Brown's boat with him. Of course, with his nearly perfect record, it would be hard to find anything bad about it, so it's nothing short of a miracle Victor managed to blackmail him. Perhaps the man of the cloth became damned to *beep* in a few moments...

Mrs. Elizabeth Peacock

Local socialite and owner of Arlington grange, Mrs. Peacock is maybe too on edge, what, thinking "grime" and "filth" are swears. Regardless, she decided to visit Captain Brown's somewhat filthy and grimy houseboat (at least, it was on the outside). She was one of the two who witnessed Vivienne's breakdown. Was a heartbroken stepdaughter enough to bloody the busybody's hands?

Professor Peter Plum

I'm not judging the professor, but with his recent stint of forgetfulness, he would probably have forgotten what this page was about by now. But you can't blame him. He's an overall nice guy; He donates to charity, helps the poor, and usually doesn't try hitting people over the head with a wrench. But it was a bad idea to bring a gold pocket watch worth five thousand dollars with him, as that was Victors next target. Maybe a simple theft was what drove Temm to his death...

Cherry Blossom

Sure, Cherry's a bit stuck up and spoilt, but Cherry is always willing to visit her father when he has money with him. I guess some of her college courses had to wait for her to get back. Despite not knowing six of the guests, she know the seventh; he was a man who tried to rape her three years ago. Did the anger and fear building up in her body let loose once and for all?

WEAPONS

The flare gun

The captain keeps this in the navigation room in case of an emergency. Of course, someone else might have needed it, but for a different kind of emergency.

The telescope

Small and brass, but very weighty, this is one of Brown's prized possessions. Despite the fact it hasn't been removed from his desk in five years, it looks like someone recently cleaned it.

The scarf

Living on a house boat most of her life, Cherry knows how chilly nights can get, so she always packs a scarf for extra warmth. But if it was in Cherry's bags, why was it found in a ball in the galley?

The lead pipe

A grimy piece of piping that was left over from some renovations in the engine room. But what has stained it besides motor oil and salt water?

The knife

There's nothing so strange about this. it's a cooking knife; of course a bit of blood will be on it! But of course, there should also be fingerprints on it, shouldn't there?

The fishing pole

On occasion, Mustard and Brown will go on little fishing trips. The pole of this has a very special metal end piece, making it very valuable, heavy, and blunt.

The ant poison

On occasion, Brown will have to spread this strange dark poison around to kill ants eating the stored food. I could swear someone watered the bottle down...

LOCATIONS

The main room

Everyone goes in here; it's undoubtedly one of the nicest rooms on the ship (right next to the dining room). So, if it's so nice, why does it look like an arm chair was moves from it's original position?

The galley

Every bit of food on the ship is stored and prepared in here. It would be easy for someone to, say, take Brown's insulin syringe, fill it with some of that ant poison under the sink...

The dining room

It's strange to find such a beautiful room on a boat, but sure enough, Brown decided to go all out when designing it. But what caused every picture and decoration on the side table to fall off?

The master bedroom

Robert's private sleeping quarters, and his office. He toils away in here, continuously trying to finish that novel. Even though it's so precious to him, the pages were strewn all over the ground...

The engine room

Sure, it's not glamorous, but it's not like Brown had a choice on having one when he bought the boat. Some of the machines in here are very important, so who decided to remove some lead piping from one?

The navigation room

It's important to know where you're going, or else the ship could end up on the other side of the world. It's very important to keep it locked. It must be, at least, if someone broke into it...

I'm still debating the use of Cherry Blossom. Do you think I should use her, or Coral, Captain Brown's ex wife?
