Found this listing for an inexpensive set of replacement weapons for the Winning-Moves 1949-Re-issue edition.
Just ordered a set for myself and love them. Similar to the original 1949 editions. If you don't have this or an original edition, or just want extras, these are a nice set to have. They are my new favorite set – I particularly like their size and heft ... much easier to pick up off the board.

why is there a tied rope? That's not authentic. And where's the poison cup? _________________ How do you know what kind of pictures they are if you're such a lay-dee? |

Wasn't the poison chalice in the Limited Edition game? But you are right the poison bottle should be with this set.
I thought the tied rope was the original rope. Why do you say it is not authentic?
But now you make me wonder about this set. The 50th Anniversary set was bronze colored, right? And I think they were different shapes. These look like silver versions of the Limited Edition game, in which case, where is the chalice?
Oh well. wherever these came from, I like them. THey remind me of the 1949 edition in size and style.

You're right about the poison bottle. I was confusing it because I think those are the weapons from the Ltd. Gift Edition. There was no tied rope in either game. _________________ How do you know what kind of pictures they are if you're such a lay-dee? |

If you look on my page for the 50th anniversary game, you can see the weapon cards which show what the tokens look like from that game. _________________ How do you know what kind of pictures they are if you're such a lay-dee? |

| This is what happens when you take a seller at face value. These are the tokens from the Winning-Moves 1949 Re-issue game, complete with the alternate tied rope, or pewter token of the classic plastic rope. |

Umm.... the title of the auction states that the set is for the 1949 reproduction by Winning Moves. And they are correct. They just used the 50th board as background.
And the 1949 came with a tied rope, but they provide a metal one so that you can choose between the two. I ordered a set directly from Winning Moves, they sell them for like $4 to use with my Nostalgia edition though. If you look, every weapon except for the revolver matches the nostalgia cards perfectly.
EDIT: Oops, I just saw the post above this. _________________

Why do you say "except the revolver". It seems to match pretty closely both the 1949 edition and the Limited gift edition. |

LoL... re read my post. I said compare them to the Nostalgia cards, not the 1949 or Limited Gift Edition cards.
Every weapon from the 1949 reproduction matches the Nostalgia cards perfectly except for the revolver (which is actually a revolver in the Nostalgia game, while the token is a pistol). _________________

Ah, you mean the 1963 re-ssue? Right. That would make sense since they were still using the 1949 parts, except for the plastic rope. I guess the set that only really matches the (what is that a Colt 45?) revolver is the actual revolver from the 50th anniversary or the Cluedo spinoffs. |
