There's this German boy who I liked last year, but now my attentions have gone towards a girl I had been friends with.

But hopefully I won't accidentally turn this into a crush discussion.

I just had to add this...

My school had exchange students all this week from Italy. They're girls at an all-boy school, so most of the straight guys were pretty excited

Well, I finally outed being bi in front of my family since the topic came up today. Although, I did it so casually, that my parents just seemed a little confused, and my sister got excited (in a happy way), probably because she is more in touch. I never brought it up before, because personally, I never really thought it was much importance to say so. I don't think this will turn into a big discussion and all that, because my parents are pretty liberal. All is well, and just before Christmas too! :D

Wow, that's a brave thing to do. I never really wanted my parents to know, but my sister told them...

Meh.

Considering they are toe-tag catholics, it could have been worse. But I really do feel an unspoken lack of acceptance by most of my family.

Has any other poll here ever gotten as high as 31 votes? lol

My hypothesis:
The gay people want to proudly represent, and the straight people want to assert there straightness, driving everyone to respond. :P

I'm straight.

Around 9th or 10th grade I thought I might be bisexual (looking back, it seems like everyone I knew at my school did around that time), but I eventually came to the realization that you can think the same sex is attractive - sexy even - without being bisexual. I've never been...excited, so to speak, by a guy.

As much as I'd hate to admit it, I think I'm becoming Bi...  But come on, you should have seen that blond teen coming out of my girlfriend's class a week ago.... Somehow I wish I would have remained in my class for a moment later

I don't know how this goes.

See, on the one hand, I believe that people have to form themselves, and of course, it can be hard to form yourself around vacillating or otherwise vague precepts.

OTOH, I also think that it's possible to waste a lot of time and anguish (and, frankly, romance) over thinking about gay/straight/or bi. Some other guy makes you catch your breath ... let that just be you catching your breath. If it gives you a rush because he's there ... it can be anything. Don't try to hard to understand, just be aware of what you're feeling and how well you like it.

That way, if something's going to happen, you're ready for it, whether you're into it or not. If nothing's going to happen, you're not too invested, because you let it be just feelings, with all the knowledge of what feelings are -- lovely and usually fleeting.

I'm a straight guy and I just love hanging around with gay people. I don't think homosexuality is an abnormal thing, I believe it is a perfectly natural thing. You often get idiots who complain that gays are a threat to the human species - RUBBISH! Overpopulation is the biggest threat. I just think that homosexuality exists because to maintain the perfect balance of our population overcrowding the Earth. It makes perfect sense from an evolutionary point of view.
I think Homosexuality is very beautiful.

I think deep down we are all Bi-sexual, we just swing one way more than others. There is a famous scale known as the Kinsey scale which is a kind of scale of how much one may 'swing' - apparently researchists claim that those marked as either 0 or 6 are apparently hard to find.
Here's the scale - how do you swing?

0 Strongly Hetrosexual
1 Hetro with slight Homo tendancies
2 Hetro with strong Homo tendancies
3 Strongly Bi-Sexual
4 Homo with strong Hetro tendancies
5 Homo with slight Hetro tendancies
6 Strongly Homosexual

I personally rank myself as 1. I'm not afraid to admit to have a strong like for other men, even Russel Crowe from Gladiator  !

I don't have anything against gay people either-- we all have to share this little planet, so why grumble?

As for myself, I rank myself as a 0. :)
