Art Academy

Post by WarnerPlum » Wed Jul 27, 2011 10:07 am

I've just come out of my course in my DSi's Art Academy, both semesters! The question is... did I do good? You be the judge!

Image
Introduction to pencil drawing in AA. Vince tells me this represents an apple, but it's hard to tell... can you see it?

Image
Paint training. Actually that's a pretty neat impression of dusk, if I say so myself!

Image
A tree! Uh er, the apples went a bit awry. Sorry.

Image
A pear

Image
The first mini-lesson, a pepper. Ruefully, I admit it taxed my patience a little.

Image
A lime

Image
Tidal wave!! Turned out pretty decent. We also looked at watercolour here.

Part 1 of the Second Semester: a lily.

Image
Vince's dog, Bacon. Ah, I seem to have made him look angrier than the photo suggested! Sorry!!

Image
Swan

Image
The grand finale: a landscape!

So - what do you think?

Well done! I like the swan the best. But the lime is very realistic looking!

I wish I had an ounce of drawing talent!
How do you know what kind of pictures they are if you're such a lay-dee?

I too like the swan, and I enjoy the landscape one. They are all pretty!

They are brilliant, especially the lime and tidal wave. I am very jealous having no artistic talent whatsoever. Mainly because I am unobservant and was told that art is about observation. The only compliment I ever got was 'you have a terrific sense of colour', and that was for a collage that I thought was terrible. :?

I too am very unobservant. Hmmm... I suppose there is something to that.
