Evil Family Feud Game Fast Money Question

Post by Michael » Wed Jan 05, 2011 8:44 pm

From the facebook game of Family Feud. Fast Money Round:

Name a board game you'd like to get as a gift.

My sister answered Monopoly (Why?!). Survey says: 46 points.

I answered Clue (Of course!). Survey says: 0 points
How do you know what kind of pictures they are if you're such a lay-dee?

LOL! Can't say I'm surprised. But look at the bright side... it makes us much more unique than the average board gamer.

0 points?! I'd have said Clue!

Yikes! Out of curiosity, how many games were in the survey, and do you know what the other games were besides Monopoly?

It didn't reveal any of the other answers. Monopoly was the number 1. Gag...

Gotta say that's pretty weird. USAopoly lists on their custom game site, that Monopoly has 98% brand awareness, and Clue has 91% brand awareness ... So it seems highly unlikely that Clue would not be among the top survey, unless there were just two or three choices. Only Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit have as broad an international appeal and have outsold Cluedo in recent years. Life, Risk, Sorry, etc. Just don't have the same level of brand awareness or sales to back them up as challengers to Clue. Then again, it all depends on who was in that survey. You get some hardcore gamers and I'm sure Battleship and Stratego could end up on that list ... Heck so could CandyLand if young children are being included.
