I always love how two, three, four, or more people sing different songs with different melodies. Take the ending of the Phantom of the Opera, I saw it last year in the Cadillac Palace and it was beautiful. The movie wasn't the same with the ending though......

I saw Hairspray on Broadway this weekend. I took my aunt who'd actually never even been to see any theatrical production with the exception of her son's school play. Needless to say, she was blown away. She couldn't stop talking about it.

It was a good show. :)
How do you know what kind of pictures they are if you're such a lay-dee?

How does it compare to either movie version (I haven't seen the original with Ricky Lake)?
I myself own both soundtracks: To the 2007 movie, and to the Broadway show.

They're all different and unique. Personally, my favorite is the movie musical.

As I type this, I am listening to There Is Life Outside Your Apartment from Avenue Q on AccuRadio. Oh, how I wish I could go to Broadway anytime I wanted to...

Reviving an old thread... sorry... but I just got $4.50 tickets to go see 39 Steps on broadway tonight. It's based on the Alfred Hitchcock movie with four actors playing all of the roles. I've never seen the movie, so I'm hoping for a good time. The show won a Tony and Drama Desk award, so it can't be all that bad. But then again, if it's showing up on the cheap ticket site, it must be getting ready to close.
