Thanks for pointing it out, Cluedokid- I'd nearly forgotten. It's a good book.

A thought just occured to me: As Cluedokid said, it is better to include a description along with a picture of our favourite villains so everyone else understands a bit better...but for the ones from film, TV, etc., how about we post up clips along with a picture and a description?

The killer in Sleeping Murder (Agatha Christie) is a good villian. Joker in the animated series of Batman. Great laugh. The killer in Death's Shadow (Midsomer Murders), again a good one. Very horrific murders by him/her.

Madame Medusa from The Rescuers. Come on, she kidnaps an orphan girl and forces her to go underground to find a diamond - I'd say that's evil. She's really barmy too.

McLeach from the sequel is just as insane:

Gah, it's been too long since I've seen those!

I'm going to follow up on my own advice and show a clip of good ol' Beato at her best...problem is, I've got to find one that a) isn't spoiler-ish, and b) is...appropriate...
The closest one I could find that fits the description is a clip of her laughing:

Disney villains are just awesome. I have an unreasonably like for the yodeling villain of the subpar Home on the Range.

They really are, aren't they?

Another one my major favourites is Forte (awesome Tim Curry!) in the lesser known Beauty and the Beast: Enchanted Christmas.
