Any Oscar predictions?
How do you know what kind of pictures they are if you're such a lay-dee?

I think this may be the first year I haven't seen any moives that are being nominated, so I have none to root for. :(
Green - "If he was such a patriotic American, why didn't he just report us to the authorities?"
Wadsworth - "He decided to put his information to good use and make a little money out of it. What can be more American than that?"

I've only seen Brokeback and Crash. And if Crash causes an upset, I'll be really... upset!

I was going to watch because there is a rumor than Jen Garner is to be one of the presenters, but I'm going to see a musical called "Dear World" instead.

My predictions are that Brokeback Mountain will win most everything. I want Crash to win, but I know it won't. There has been so much hype over Brokeback Mountain, and there hasn't been any upset over Oscars since Bette Davis and Gloria Swanson both lost the Oscar in 1950. For Best Actress, Reese Witherspoon hands down, and she deserves it. She is so talented, but not widely recognized for her talent (although now she is the highest paid actress in Hollywood). Narnia will probably win for whatever it's nominated for, I think it's like special effects or costumes or something. Best animated feature: I don't know. Maybe Wallace and Gromit, but I hope Madagascar doesn't win. It just wasn't funny. I thought the giraffe and the penguins were, but the rest of it was just stupid.

since I saw none of the movies nominated for any of the big awards, and all of the movies I enjoyed - Batman Begins, StarWars, King Kong, the Producers - were nominated for either small or no awards I have only one reason for watching the Oscars:

host Jon Stewart

Yes! I'd love to see a batman movie that has all the "BAM" and "Kablooie!" over the screen when someone gets punched, with today's technology they could make it very clever.

the only movie im really supporting is "Good Night and Good Luck"

I never saw it (**** limited release!), but I really wanted to and thought that the casting, cinemetography, and directing looked powerful and perfect ... not mention I liked the storyline
