Rubio survived Boddy's attempt to destroy her carreer because she had the aid of Plum, who was blackmailing Boddy. In return for the end of the blackmail, Boddy ceased trying to destroy Rubio's carreer.

Nice characters! Welcome to the forums!
How do you know what kind of pictures they are if you're such a lay-dee?

Kriste

Thanks

Thank you. I'm afraid I got a bit carried away on a different thread.

I hope they aren't too upset with 12 characters.

Ok, I've got a whole bunch now:

The Victim

Dr. Brian Alabaster, one of the best D.A.'s in New Hampshire, the *beep* and self assured 50-something lawyer is rumored to have played a part in his late wife's death. Their home, which was on the outskirts of Blackport, was blown up while his wife was inside. Many believed that Alabaster was responsible, but do to his friendship with Judge Indigo (hope you don't mind my incorporating him), the charges against him were dropped. He is now married to his former mistress. However, now that the insurance has been almost completely depleted, he is thinking blaming the "accident" on his new wife so he can be with his secretary.

The Suspects

Mrs. Regina Alabaster, the new Mrs. Alabaster is considerably younger and prettier than the first. Although she loves her husband, she still has the guilt of the first Mrs. Alabaster's death on her conscious. Recently, she found out her husband wanted to frame her for the first wife's murder. Did she kill him to keep him quiet?

Ruby Smith, Dr. Alabaster's secretary and new mistress, Ruby is known for her excellent secretarial skills and her rather large bust. The busty blonde has been involved in more than one scandal in Blackport. It was rumored that she was dating a man in the mob, but no proof ever came up (incidently, the man who accused her was found dead in his room, he apparently shot himself four times). Brian knows that she hired someone to kill that man. Was she willing to kill him to keep it a secret?

And these are based on your characters mentioned, David:

Mr. Thomas Marigold, of Marigold, Meadow-Brook, and Copper, the elderly Mr. Marigold was quite happy that Meadow-Brook kicked the bucket. Both he and Ms. Copper hated Meadow-Brook, because he would take on clients without telling them, and then keep all the profit to himself. He also despises Dr. Alabaster, because that prosecutor is the only person the trio could not beat. Did he kill him to stop the competion?

Ms. Penny Copper, the elderly Ms. Copper has never been married. She is one of Blackport's best defense attornies, often considered better than her collegues, Mr. Marigold and Mr. Meadow-Brook. She, like Marigold, hated both Meadow-Brook and Alabster, and her motive is the same as Marigold's.

And two more possible victims for another story:

Baron and Baroness Von Gold, the diplomatic couple from Germany. Was their killing political? Or was it for revenge?

Lily Whyt- A quiet friend of Lady Lavender, she's staying at the Ivory home, but how does she know Lavender and why is she in Blackport? (Not Asian, Causcian)

Ruby Rink- A wealthy lady who owns a jewelery shop. Knows more than she should.

The Blondes:
Mr. Samuel Blond- A wealthy family man and reporter for the Daily Echo, he is having an affair with his co-worker, Carrie Bluebell, he would kill for his family and Carrie, what would happen if he had to choose?

Lady Daisy Blond- A loyal wife to Samuel, despite the rumors she heard from her "lady bee" friends. She got her title by her brother who is a land baron. She's a home-maker, but she doesn't do much since they have a mansion and 3 maids and 2 butlers and a chef. Currently 8 month pregant. Her worst nightmare is if she lost all that and her family. Would she do anything to prevent that?

Miss Joy Blond- The Blondes' 12 going on 13 year old daughter, she is popular at the Blackport Academy, but after an evil rumor sent her in an unknown illness. Could it just be a delusion or a plot? (Picture Taylor Momsen)

Miss Katie Blond- The Blondes' 10 year old daughter, she is very creative and loves art. After the sudden departure of her art teacher, Miss Sky, she has gone in a series of sudden tantrums. What could have caused this? (Picture AnnaSophia Robb)

Soon to be Mr. Samuel Blond Jr.- Currently residing in Mrs. Blond's tummy-tum, awaiting departure in a month.

Oh, it's England. Croquet on the lawn, tea in silver teapots, sherry before dinner. One simply has to maintain one's standards!

Baron Uriah Whisteria: Uriah Whisteria, who refuses to explain where he comes from, has been an old enemy of Boddy. In fact, he is an enemy to almost everyone, but the only one whom he loathes more than Boddy is Jazmine Ginger, whom he regards as his supernatural enemy. Whisteria is a wizard, and he is known to have remarkable powers. He particularly enjoys creating storms when somebody has made him angry. But, he says he cannot tell fortunes and cannot predict the future.

Doctor Marvin Grass: Marvin Grass stays as far away from nature as possible. He is a psychologist of considerable skill, and he knew the deepest secrets of Mr. Boddy, though he never discusses his patients. On the other hand, Grass seldom refrains from a good bit of gossip, from which information can always be leaked. Most people have threatened him with lawsuits from his gossiping, but none of them managed to win.

Deputy Alexander Copper: Alex Copper is, quite literally, a cop. There was no pun intended here, in his favorite rusty-orange clothes. Alex is a good cop who never gets his hands dirty except with red blood. He has a high moral standard, never fails to attend church, and is known to rebuke other people for their sins . . . constantly. He tends to confuse spiritual laws with political ones, and has tried to arrest several people for breaking the ten commandments only to be barred by the fact that he lives in a secular country, not a theocracy.

Nurse Karyn Calico: Karyn is a normal nurse, though she is pagan in faith and offers people advice. She combines her telepathic powers, which allow her to look into the body to see what is wrong with it, with the medical training that allows her to treat what she sees. She also enjoys playing the piano and reading books, living a quiet life. Boddy, though, was one of several people who funded her small hospital, a little hospital devoted to pagan religion that treated both body and soul, and charged almost nothing for those in need. Boddy threatened, however, to cut their funding off and refused to say why. Karyn beseeched him to change his mind, only to have him throw her out of the house. In fact, she was not involved in Boddy's death, but was there with the paramedics to try to save Boddy's life.

Thesaurus Red - Though he is the 17 year old half brother of child prodigy Dictionary Purple, they couldn't be more different. Whereas Dictionary excelled academically, Thesaurus is more of the athletic type, eager to prove himself physically. His determination to be the best on his Track, Wrestling and Soccer teams led him to the use of steroids - which later escallated into the world of recreational drugs. Unable to pay for a regular fix, however, he soon became indebted to his dealer. When Thallo Green, head of the Green Family Crime Syndicate, took notice that one of his dealers was coming up short, he decided to have Thesaurus brought in to teach the boy a lesson. Nobody knows what happened behind Green's door that day, but when he came out, his arm was around Thesaurus's shoulders and he was telling him the debt would be forgiven in return for a favor: delivering a small package to a house down the street. Thesaurus did so and just barely made it back down the driveway before the house exploded behind him. Soon, Green came to him with further courrier responsibilities to which Thesaurus was rewarded with a Mercedes and, later, a suitcase full of cash following each delivery. Before he knew it, Thesaurus was an honorary member of the Green family and had more money than he could possibly spend - both facts of which he relished in sharing with his highschool friends. Thus, when Thallo came to him with another job - one involving Mr. Boddy, a game of Billiards and a revolver, it was an offer Thesaurus couldn't refuse.

Um, NO! Dictionary Purple and Thesaurus Red (Just like my upcoming character, MLA Manual Orange) are completely unique creations and bear no influence from this Brown person you mention. I've NO IDEA who he is!

Miss Vanessa Helsing-Bloodworth - Cheerleader, class-president and editor of the yearbook, Vanessa is an all around go-getter. Thus, when a number of her classmates started mysteriously disappearing, rather than cower in fear like the rest of the townsfolk, she took action. Every night, she'd go out alone and sit in her Trans-Am staking out various streets, watching and waiting for some clue to reveal itself and help her solve the mysterious disappearances. She observed her classmates foolishly wander about town, going in and out of houses alone instead of in groups as the police encouraged. But when the captain of the football team entered the decrepit Boddy Manor, she noticed he never came out... Fearing for her classmate's life, she hurried up to the house. Peering through the dirt stained windows, she saw nothing but darkness. Eventually, she found an open door in the conservatory and went inside. What she found made her blood run cold...
