Master Detective: The Game

Post by CluedoKid » Sun Sep 27, 2009 6:14 pm

Big plans coming soon. I'm creating an adventure game based on Master Detective. It won't be here however. This will be a fully-animated game that you can each individually download and play. I don't know when it will be ready, but be patient.

I will also make a website to correspond. :)

Fully animated adventure?
I can't freakin' wait! :D :D :D No pressure though, take as much time as you need to make it perfect.

I'd kill for a decent super detective game, and Cluedokid my pull it off. Good luck

Yes. Now, to let you know what to expect. It will be nothing fancy. Something along the lines of the Laura Bow games. There will be music and sounds and other cool stuff I can try and add depending on my skill working with AGS. Heck, if I could gather friends to do voice acting I would, but for now I will probably stick with text speech. Backgrounds and sprites will be drawn by me and based off the Master Detective illustrations.

I think I know the answer but I'll ask anyway just to make sure.

Will the solution be random or will the game be in cases?

Alright, I'm on the fence over a decision. In terms of background, should they be computer drawn, made on Sims 2 similar to the mansion or hand-painted? All 3 sound viable, the latter two more appealing.

Well I think Sims 2 would be the cleanest and best. Painted would look nice, especially with your skills, butt it would look off for a computer game, and computer drawn would be ok too, but I think it wouldn't be as crisp as Sims 2.

Plus you make excellent Sims 2 rooms.

When you say adventure game, do you mean like Fatal Illusion where is is a story being played out, or is this more like a regular Clue game where the solution changes every time.

This will have only one solution that I randomly drew from my MD cards. You will go around collecting clues, interrogating suspects until you have enough evidence to make an accusation.

I think that using the sims2 would be a shame.
