New Clue games

Post by Kristev » Mon Aug 24, 2009 2:38 am

I tried to go to Hasbro today to look up new Clue games, and I was overwhelmed by the new variations. Yet not one looked interesting. Can anyone give me a list of what they've come up with? I got thoroughly confused.

Well, all the new games I've heard of so far are:

Clue: Secrets and Spies
Clue (Carnival)
Clue: 24 Edition
Clue: Seinfeld Edition
Clue: The Office Edition

Terrible idea. It's a rather bad cartoon, and having some guys cross-dress for the female characters would not be amusing or interesting at all (a lack of female characters in the cartoon poses a problem here). (The Simpsons Clue pulled it off nicely though, by making Smithers Mrs. White, which not only describes his role as the servant, but also... yeah, those who watch the show should understand what I mean.)

I watch it.

Suspects you could have:
Wendy - Stan - Kyle - Kenny - Mrs Cartman - Wendy's friend with the blond hair.

It's still a terrible idea.

Is it terrible that I wouldn't mind a Family Guy Clue? The show's a guilty pleasure of mine. And Stewie could cross-dress to play the third female.

Who would be the victim PeachFreak.

At least with the South Park game, their is a clear murder victim.

Lois' dad would make a good victim. Mayor West. The chicken. Any number of characters would be suitable.

Although I can see the Chicken as Colonel Mustard...not sure why...

And you guys complained about the reinvention not being in the spirit of clue? Come on.

I am REALLY looking forward to playing The Office Clue. I can't wait until Tony gets it. It really looks like they did a good job. Probably the best looking Clue Reinvention game out there... if only for all the inside jokes.

I disagree. I love South Park and it is a television show of the finest quality. Clue and South Park can easily co-exist, but Black isn't doing a good job of showing so.

First off, Kenny should not be a suspect, but rather the victim. To be frank, duh.

Second, it seems rather than using the kids as suspects (especially not Wendy's blond friend Bebe who is hardly notable), the more memorable adults should be used instead. Though a man, Chef could take the role of Mrs. White, which could turn out quite interesting.

Here's a possible suspect list:

Miss Scarlet - Ms. Choksondik

Colonel Mustard - Jimbo Kern

Mrs. White - Chef

Rev. Green - Father Maxie

Mrs. Peacock - Mayor McDaniels

Prof. Plum - Mr. Mackey

Miss Peach - Principal Victoria

M. Brunette - Dr. Alphonso

Madame Rose - Mr./Ms. Garrison

Sgt. Grey - Officer Barbrady

Actually, your idea is far more interesting than what Black's posted so far. But I have to respectfully disagree with you on South Park's quality. Of the episodes I've seen so far, I only enjoyed the Lord of the Rings spoof. The others are just... weird. The Simpsons, I found, is consistently much funnier.

But Family Guy still puts both shows to shame :P

But you can't really make a clue game out of family guy.

With South Park, You could have the murder take place at the school and there is a character that people wouldn't miss at all making him the ideal victim.

Suspects:
Stan - Mustard
Kyle - Plum
Kenny - Green
Wendy - Peacock
(As there aren't that many famous female children on south park) Bebe - Scarlet
Shelly - White

Cartman - Boddy

As always, I disagree completely there, Black. CluedoKid grasped what might actually make an interesting game by making Kenny a victim. He's been killed off several times in the show. And either way, selecting Cartman as the victim, when you have less frequent characters as other suspects, makes no sense.

What motive would the suspects have killing Kenny?

What motive would the suspects have for killing Cartman?
