Who do you usually play as?

Post by Adam106 » Tue Jun 23, 2009 4:14 pm

I know this has probably been asked hundreds of times before, but I thought it might be nice to see what the actual poll result's bar chart looks like.

Basically, who do you play as the most during a good old game of regular Clue/Cluedo. :)

Personally, as most of you know, I'm almost always Miss Scarlet.

I am always Miss Scarlet. I played as Mrs. Peacock once in MABM.

I always pick my player at random. 9 times out of 10, I'm Mrs Peacock.

I'm always Mrs. Peacock, unless playing an expanded version.

I wrestle my brother for Professor Plum.

(Not literally... But we do fight over who gets to be him. Except in Reinvention, of course. Neither of us want to be "Victor Plum" in that.)

I like Plum because he's best situated to get into the hard to reach kitchen. But, of course, that assumes someone doesn't call you into another room first - which is likely given that you're the last player to move.
How do you know what kind of pictures they are if you're such a lay-dee?

I play as Peacock, with Plum my second choice. In MD, it's Rose & Brunette.

I'm alwaysPeacock.

Oh yeah, I also play as Mrs. Peacock when I play the game. And to anyone else who claimed her: if we're ever playing together, I claim her now.

Exact opposite with my family then, but we always pick our players at random. In "Discover the Secrets" I always try to get Plum.

I usually choose Plum for a number of reasons. A) Like Michael said, he has the easiest access to the infamous hard-to-get-to Kitchen, B) Usually I play with my friends who are Scarlet and Peacock, so it's easy to play as Plum and we don't have to hassle about how the board is placed, C) He's usually my favourite character. When I'm not Plum, I'm Mustard though.

Victor Plum also has his advantages as well.

Wouldn't Mrs. White have the easiest access to the Kitchen? Then again, I suppose it depends on if you're using an edition with one or two dice.

Well, White has 13 steps to get into the Kitchen. Plum has only 8 steps to the Study and then can use the secret passageway to the Kitchen.

Well that makes sense, then. I didn't realize she was that far from the Kitchen.

Sorry to bump, but I am normally Plum for the advantage to the Kitchen, however lately I've been Mr. Green.

I seemed to be playing Peacock a lot, mostly because my brother loves Mustard, so we have to face opposite ends with the board.

I never do the 'sit where your character is' after all you will be most likely moving your pawn across the board eventually.
