Vote for suspect names for new tv series....

Post by Jamie » Tue Mar 17, 2009 11:21 am

Hey everyone

I need your opinions for the suspects first names for series 2 of my TV style mysteries. I have also changed the bios - that the relationships between the characters are different. Anyway the options are:-

Miss Scarlett - Natasha, Isabel, Kimberley
Col. Mustard - Luke, James, Ben
Mrs White - Mary, Alice, Gwen
Rev. Green - Stephen, Patrick, Duncan
Mrs. Peacock - Victoria, Harriet, Grace
Prof. Plum - Lawrence, Gordon, Alec

Your opinions are welcome! (I reserve the right to overrule the majority!)

With the names you have given, I'd do:

Miss Scarlet - Natasha
Col. Mustard - James
Mrs. White - Either Mary or Alice
Rev. Green - Either Stephen or Patrick
Mrs. Peacock - Victoria
Prof. Plum - Alec

Scarlet: Not fond of Kimberley at all. Isabel could work, though a tad plain. Natasha is alright...if she were a Russian spy.

Mustard: None of those names suit Mustard at all. We are naming a Colonel, not a foot soldier. One of the reasons why I hate the name Jack Mustard from the Reinvention.

White: Mary is the best name of the bunch.

Green: Stephen or Patrick are fine. Patrick may evoke St. Patrick's Day due to it being associated with Green.

Peacock: Harriet gives off the right amount of audaciousness and tweed. I'd pick this name.

Plum: Gordon or Alec seem about right, though either one puts a different picture of Plum in my head.

If anything, Scarlet should be Xenia and Peacock should be Sarah. Unless you were trying to make a statement on how the vivacious character has a bland, name, and Peacock is a sexy, Russian spy.

I think I was, I recognise the Peacock from Midsummer Murders. and I think she was a killer.
Storyline was great. Famous book writers come for a festivel at the village and a friend of the Detectives was a russian spy (not by the name Xenia) and she was the killer, even though it may have been self defence.

And the next thing....should the mysteries run as usual....first come first served basis when questioning and if you're not there at the time, then it could be solved by the time you see it.

Or should the questioning/guessing be done via PM with a points scoring system so more people can play and there can be a leaderboard??
