No real use for this; just a card back I made when I was bored.

Agreed, those cards are beautiful!
Oh, it's England. Croquet on the lawn, tea in silver teapots, sherry before dinner. One simply has to maintain one's standards!

I really like those. They are quite stylish and simple at the same time. The black dog could probably be a little bit darker, and I also think if it will say Clue on the card backs, then having it on the front makes it a little redundant.

Wow. Thanks, everyone! I really was not expecting such a positive reaction. I still have some work to do on some other cards, but there are a few I've done that I probably shouldn't post. When I ran out of the "Clue Suspects" room art, I "borrowed" some graphics with a similar look and feel from various computer games. I used quite a bit from "Peril at End House," "Evil Under the Sun," etc. I don't know if it would be appropriate to show those.

I did have an idea of sorts: A totally customizable Clue game, where you randomly select a victim, six suspects, six weapons and nine rooms and play the game in whatever configuration you want. If you wanted, you could play with the Patent characters, weapons and rooms; or you could play the classic, traditional game; or you could mix and match. You could even have an all-female character game, or even an all Gray/Grey game and use Sgt. Gray, Lord Gray, Inspector Grey, Miss Grey, Mrs. Silver and Ashe. I'm not sure how the board would work; I guess it would have to be tiles like in Super Sleuth so you could shape it to whatever rooms you choose to use. I suppose the notebook would have to be fill-in-the-blank, though, which would be a pain to do every time you played. Still, I might give it some more thought somewhere down the road.

Thanks, CluedoKid! Coming from an artist of your caliber, that's high praise indeed.
CluedoKid wrote:The black dog could probably be a little bit darker.
Well, here's where I'm having a problem. My computer monitor is getting old, and the color resolution isn't what it used to be. Everything looks really dark, so I couldn't make him any darker without me no longer being able to see him at all. I'm having the same problem viewing other graphics. In your "Murder, Mystery and Mayhem" game, for example, Sgt. Gray looked like a solid black blob with two tiny white eyes. I had to lighten his card considerably to see the detail in your art. And that brings me to my next question: What does the Plum card above look like to all of you? The computer tells me that the swatch of color at the top and the silhouette of Plum are both the same shade of purple, but what I see is a purple Plum silhouette and blue (Mrs. Peacock blue, in fact) at the top of the card. Do the colors look right for everyone else?
CluedoKid wrote:I also think if it will say Clue on the card backs, then having it on the front makes it a little redundant.
Whoops! That was rather misleading, wasn't it? The card back was just a random thing I threw together for fun, not necessarily intended as the back of these particular cards. I'm not sure what I'll do with the card back for them. I'm torn, really. I like having the logo on the fronts of the card because they looked rather unfinished without it, but I feel like the logo should appear on the back of the cards, too. However, I see your point. Alternatively, the card back could be just a single fingerprint, or a magnifying glass.

I'll post more characters, weapons and some rooms later. Cheers!

Well your computer resolution can't be helped. As for your Plum card, both colours show a purple to me. Finally, in regards to the card backs matter, I also like how it says Clue on the card. It does add something, I agree on that. I don't think though that it would be lacking if the logo was missing; if anything it would be less cluttered.

Great, but maybe you could make the lead piping bent.

I'd be interested to see your other suspects, since you've already shown us Grey, Puce, and the Black Dog.

The other suspects are in the works, and I'll be posting them soon. I have to be away from the Internet for a few days so it may not be until the weekend or later. Also working on a card back and a box cover.

Good point. I may re-do once I've finished everything else.
