Sticky card? It's possible that, whoever dealt the cards, subconsciously picked the card that wasn't creased or marked. We have that with Ms Scarlet and Mr Green: Green has an inconspicuous blue stripe at the back and is never picked - Scarlet always is picked, so it seems. You could build a stack of suspects and let a die roll decide which number card you should pick from that stack.

The cards are fairly new. Near mint condition. Though to be fair, we did make a solution where someone else was the murderer but mom had some difficulty putting the cards in the envelope so me and dad accidentally saw one of the solution cards. It would have been Professor Plum if we played.

Yesterday was a weird Cluedo session..
After I'd dealt the first pack of cards, my sister made the same mistake she'd made last time: she failed to show me a room when I asked her. We called the game void and dealt again.
I picked the cards by shuffling, letting my sister pick a number from 1 to 6 (or 9) and counted off the murder card that way. As I shoved the card into the deck, I noticed there was a sharp crease down the middle, so it was probably Mr Green.

The pack I got had 2 suspects and 4 rooms: three of those were secret passage rooms. So I had the advantage of having many rooms but well... weapons...
Aaanyway... at the 5th turn, my father, who's not a good player, ended up asking 2 of 3 right and had the weapon himself: because he walked straight out of the room my sister assumed it was not the murder room. My sister controlled Mr Green - and the first thing she did upon her turn, was leave the room. My father had noted down his findings - but he was using a notation system for the first time and soon lost track of what the 2-21 at the bottom meant- he ended up asking my sister and me for rooms and suspects we had.
After a while, my sister decided to take a guess for it, with a 50/50 chance since she had two rooms left. She asked for the wrong room and play continued. Immediately, we noticed how sad it was: that my father could've won by a long shot if he had been paying attention. I then spent a couple of turns in a room and with a suspect I had to eliminate the weapons (which was a bit stupid looking back on it, I already knew my father didn't have the candlestick and my sister would never have accused a weapon she had herself).

I won, with Green / Candlestick / Study, but it was more because I was the least awful player. Rather hollow, dad should've won.

I played the SFX game the other day with my mom.

Game 1) Mrs. Meadow-Brook in the Garage with the Hammer - Mom won because I guessed wrong. The killer and weapon I knew but it was a 1/3 chance with the location, it was either Garage, Tudor Mansion and I can't remember the other place and I can't look at the notepad to find out.

Game 2) Miss Scarlet in the Stable with the Lawn Gnome - Mom won again but she solved it herself. I was no where near. The knew the location, 1/2 chance on the weapon, 1/4 chance on the suspect (I think the other weapon was Garden Shears and the suspects were out of Reverend Green and the three original women) Even if I was to make my accusation, I would have been wrong.

So I recently played a game on my birthday. The solution was: Scarlet/Hall/Knife.

From Master Detective: Colonel Mustard in the Library with the Lead Pipe.

It was a lucky guess. I didn't know anything at that point. Quick game.
How do you know what kind of pictures they are if you're such a lay-dee?

Played a little of the Master Detective Computer Game on an Emulator.

Mr. Green - Wrench - Library
Madame Rose - Revolver - Courtyard
Colonel Mustard - Revolver - Gazebo
Mr. Green - Wrench - Library
Mr. Green - Wrench - Library
Madame Rose - Wrench - Drawing Room

Perhaps the randomizing wasn't the best for the game of it's time. ;)

I done a 6 player game on Clue Classic, I was Plum and I had Wrench, Hall, Ballroom.

I worked out the killer and I had a good idea on the weapon, it was out of 2 room. (Library and Kitchen)

I gathered as much as I could so I accused. X with Lead Pipe in Kitchen. WRONG
When it came round to me and after eliminating a few more things, I accused again. X with Lead Pipe in Library. WRONG

I was surprised but then I put 2 and 2 together and came up with the solution.

X with REVOLVER in Library Correct.

(X was Mrs. White)

Its randomizing is rubbish, I noticed that and started keeping a spreadsheet on the solutions. Rose - Revolver - Courtyard came up a lot, as did Scarlett - Poison - Conservatory

Played Kill Doctor Lucky using the clue suspect tokens. It was Colonel Mustard with the Letter Opener in the Library.

Super Cluedo

I won the first game - Mrs. White in the Stables with the Revolver

The second solution was either - The Gardner with the Revolver in the Billiard Room or The Snooker player with the Revolver in the Garden.

I'd found a 1992 edition of Clue, which I've always found to be one of the most beautiful editions, in a thrift store for $ 1.99 yesterday. So I bought it. And, to my surprise, Mother wanted to play. So we played. She was Prof. Plum and I was Mrs. Peacock.

We were close, but she won - Plum with the rope in the kitchen.

But then again, did she really win? After all, Plum did confess that he was the killer . . .

Birthday round of Cluedo with dad and sis.
Rolled the dice to get the solution. And replaced the creased Green card beforehand.

Solution was Green - Rope - Dining Room. My sister is usually my toughest opponent but this time she succumbed to pressure and guessed for a solution to which I held a card. She'd spent 5 turns in the study and never got to see the card; I held that and got to show her something else each time she asked. Normally I use that tactic on suspects, but it works even better on rooms since there are more of them and they're harder to find out.
Anyway, sis made a wrong accusation, so only dad n me left and dad's not the best player.

It's not my game so I don't care. I told my friend that I would play DTS on one condition. I would be Plum for as many games as we played.

Revenge round yesterday late at night. We were all tired and all managed to ask someone for a card we'd already seen. Sis won with White - Revolver - Lounge. Before that she won by accident with Plum - Dagger - Study. This time around we'd reversed the question asking so she'd ask me first and I asked Dad first, rather than the other way round. Seems like that makes a difference.
