A New Miss Scarlet

Post by boddysattorney » Fri Mar 03, 2006 11:25 pm

Miss Scarlet the actress ....
anyone have any ideas for a Miss Scarlet beyond the repetive "woefully untaltented aspiring actress" or international spy?

curious ...

I see Miss Scarlet as a young, black Hip Hop singer. :) But that's just another take on the usual Miss Scarlet traits.

I suppose she could be an aging spinster (substitue teacher). Maybe even Mrs Peacock's bitter older sister.
How do you know what kind of pictures they are if you're such a lay-dee?

Sorry but young black hip hop singer,(I don't mind her being black, but definately not a hip hop singer), or an aging spinster you might as well get rid of the character all together if you used those ideas.

Sorry but those ideas are something I would post in the worst character ideas.

Yeah yeah... I know you don't like my Hip Hop singing Scarlet... but WHY? You liked the idea of her as a jazz singer? What's wrong with flipping it around a little bit and modernizing her?

AND... I like the old Scarlet idea a lot. Wasn't the idea to come up with something new and different? The old Scarlet could still have delusions that she's a beautiful powerhouse able to charm any man alive - like a young Scarlet would. It would make her a more tragic character.

So what would you suggest to have a new take on her?

I had a few ideas.

a sad tragic beautiful young woman, had several lovers. Each one broke her heart. Constantly has mascara dipping down her eyes.

...............................................................

Or how about one of those India strip dancers? Hired as Boddy's secretary but more of a mistress. Wouldnt mind giving a little "show" on top of Boddy's desk.

i just find his comment a bit hypocritical since he criticized people for having Miss Scarlet come off slutty

Miss Scarlet, the beautiful and youthful charmer, was an obscure but ambitious reporter for a major newspaper. Her boss - whom took a special liking to her for both professional and personal reasons - gave her the oppurtunity of a career: an in-depth expose on the Black Family and Mr. Boddy. She took to the character of an actress, made her way into local society, and inventually right into the eyes - and in turn heart - of Mr. Boddy.

i never saw why she was always protrayed as a bad actress
if she was a good actress that would have allowed her to make a better motive and alibi, as well as a cover

not a bad actress,...just a drama queen!
