Okay... Ally McBeal-style... What are the suspect's personal theme songs?

Mustard: Rule Brittania: Brittania rule the waves

Scarlet: Something soothing and jazzy with a hint of Mystery

Peacock: Choupin: The minute waltz

Plum: Beetles music

Green: An elegant haunting piano peice.

White: Some 50's jingle

Boddy: who cares he's dead

Scarlet: All that jazz, done in a style similar to that of Catherine Zeta Jones.

Mustard: Mustard never felt very English to me. He's an American. I picture him listening to Toby Keith garbage.

White: Mrs. White probably does her dusting to the oldies, but I'd think more along the lines of Chopin to be her taste. Brooding, dark classical music. Perhaps like Mephistophelees.

Green: I think that Green might secretly love Ben Vereen's version of Jesus Christ, Superstar, because it basically asks Christ, in a slightly sneering way, who he is and what he's all about. Such should be on the mind of every minister.

Peacock: Please. Ella Fitzgerald & Billie Holliday. What class and elegance. Do you even have to ask?

Plum: Loreena McKennit's Mask & mirror. The entire album, I suspect, but if I had to give him one song, perhaps the Mystic's dream?

Well, of course, as regards Mustard, it really depends on the setting. Obviously, Clue: The Movie has all the characters as Uni citizens, although Wadsworth, Yvette, and Mrs. Ho are, perhaps, naturalized. With that in mind, Mustard has at one time in fact been American.

On the other hand, given what I've come to regard as the "original" setting -- the 1972 US version of the game -- Green is the only one who strikes me as definitely American. Scarlet is of indeterminate origins, but in any case nothing about her suggests the United States particularly -- and the rest save Mustard could be from anywhere. Mustard, too, could be German, say, or maybe even Spanish, but the genre's and the game's suggests that he has to be British, probably English.

All that said, I don't really know what they'd listen to ... I'd have to give that more thought.

Miss Scarlet: "Luxurious" by Gwen Stefani
Colonel Mustard: "Rocky Mountain High" by John Denver
Mrs. White: "Shake, Rattle, and Roll"
Mr. Green: "You're So Vain" by Carly Simon
Mrs. Peacock: I agree, anything by Ella Fitzgerald
Professor Plum: "American Pie"

Miss Scarlet (My version where she's black, with a hip/hop vibe.) - I'm undecided on the song. Either Toxic by Britney Spears or Milk Shake by Kelis

Colonel Mustard (Young, British, renegade. Very cold. Almost evil.) - On Her Majesty's Secret Service by The Propellerheads

Mrs. White (Like Jennifer Lopez in Maid in Manhattan, she's smarter than her position in life. She's stuck in her job but knows how to party once she's punched out for the night.) - The Ketchup Song by Las Ketchup

Mr. Green (Vin Diesel wannabe. Shady importer/exporter by trade, but a bit of a poser.) - Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice

Mrs. Peacock (Renee Ruso type who genuinely loves life, people, money, and most of all to dance. She goes to the clubs, but avoids the VIP room in favor of dancing and grinding the night away with a crowd of hot, young guys.) - I like to Move It by Reel to Real

Professor Plum (The underdog loner. He envies the exciting lives the other guests of the manor lead, but he's too reserved to break out of his shell. Or is he? He suffers tremendous inner conflict between what he wants to do and what he allows himself to do.) - I Would Do Anything by Meatloaf.

Wow, Micheal! Funny ideas but I can't imagine any of your desriptions as proper clue chracters, they are more like ANTI CLUE. I doubt the would visit a beautiful manor either. More like some ugly mordern pent house or somthing.

They're NOT proper Clue characters. They're MY Clue characters. :) They're young, hip, kinda trashy, nouveau riche Paris Hilton types. You're right. What happens when these people take over the Manor House... hehehe

My first thought for Plum, though, was The Internet is for *beep* from Avenue Q... hehehe. But I wanted something a bit more creepy.

And Peacock WAS going to be Rockafeller Skank by Fatboy Slim... Mostly because I think the title is fitting and can picture her dancing to it in the clubs. But it didn't have quite the right overall feel for HER. I think I made better final decisions, but they're still subject to change!

Plum and Peacock were the hard ones!

...and then offer to play Mr. Boddy?
"Are you trying to make me look stupid in front of the other guests?"
"You don't need any help from me, sir."
"That's right!"

Crew Cuts

That was just the movie, Mr. Beeskow ... and I don't think Mr. Boddy chose that music.
