Hi, sorry I've been super super busy. Not sure when I'll get a chance for a pic, but I can tell you that it is not a recreation of the original box back. It does include some of the original text (including the erroneous "Miss Peacock") but then it goes on to talk about being a retro edition etc.

I picked up a copy tonight and I can confirm that I was totally crazy (no surprise there!) when originally thinking this used the wrong weapon tokens. They are accurate to the real '86 edition, but of course there are the wooden pawns so this is still a weird edition in that respect.

I JUST saw these at Target over the weekend! Immediately I was taken aback because the 1986 version is nearest and dearest to my heart. I first discovered Clue IN 1986 (via the film) and this version was the first I ever owned and seeing it on shelves again made me smile... BUT.. boy did it make me ...

This was a lot of fun to watch, thank you! Great seeing the cast today, and what they look like now. I found it amusing how many of them mentioned that they had difficulty playing the actual game. I was 4 when it first came out and I never really did understand it. I used to just watch the videos ov...

Murder by Death, I think my lament over the current Cluedo State of Affairs is larger than themed games. It's really more to do with what I feel has been a dreadful alteration (the newer board layout, rules etc.) but I also do cringe a bit with some of the themed versions. If anything, Penny Dreadfu...

I couldn't really see the point of a Firefly edition...or Big Bang Theory... or just about anything that's been put out in the last several years. Tis a hum drum state of affairs for the once great game. :(

Ack! Ugly new logo on upcoming "Clue" Blu-Ray

Sigh. The artwork for this summer's blu-ray release of "Clue" has been shown on www.thedigitalbits.com, and I'm very disappointed to see that they have replaced the classic logo with something that isn't quite the new logo, but very similiar. Hmm. Can't seem to link to the actual pic, but if you cli...

Clue comes to Blu Ray this August!

Very little information as of yet, but apparently Paramount has been teasing their 2012 Blu Ray release schedule and announced Clue for an August release. No specs known at this time. It would be awesome if it's not just a bare bones re-do of the DVD and actually had some substantial extras this tim...

La-La-Land Records specializes in "rarities," as it were. Lots of older films (particularly from the 80s) that are cult favorites, etc.

My story is very similar to most of the other collectors in my age range. It was probably around 1986 or '87, and I was around 5-6 years old when the movie was first being shown on HBO. I remember back then it always seemed like a big deal when a movie was shown on HBO for the first time, and my ent...

I am so glad someone else noticed the connection between CLUE and gay people, too! I, too, wonder what it is about this simple little detective game that has the same magnetic pull as a new Liza Minnelli album...or Patti LuPone/Barbra Streisand/Bette Midler/[your favorite diva]... Trust me, people ...

Ah! I JUST saw this in the new issue of "Playthings," a trade magazine we get at my office, and was about to post about it when I saw I'd been beaten to the punch. The game appears in a Winning Moves ad, on pg. 46. Apparently it will be on display, alongside other WM 2010 releases at Toy Fair next w...

Now this I find fascinating. In the third image in this post, I thought I saw something oddly familiar on the solution envelope. When enlarged I saw that, sure enough, the envelope undoubtedly depicts the character "Shaky," a villain from the comic strip "D ick Tracy." Oddly enough, in addition to b...

Heh, no worries. I was only kidding. I'm sure you also don't know why I even commented. I'm the creator of the "World of Clue" website, which yeeeears ago was sort of "The Other Site" in regards to Cluedofan, but now languishes at the old Geocities address, much to my chagrin. The site will b...

Never said it was bad, just thought it was the only Clue site out there worth visiting before I found this site (one not hosted via Geocities or what have you).
Haha... ouch.... fair, though... but ouch.
