I like that they're positioned in the classic cover pose, even if it's cut up to fit in the magnifying glass.

To answer the question, that is similar to a 1949 reproduction bookshelf version, except it's in a slipcase. I found one at Marshall's, but information on the internet about it is scarce. It's actually really nice.

My Walmart is carrying it too, but even though the price listed on the shelf was around $20, it rang up as $10 when I bought it.

Not particularly, I just always enjoyed seeing new finds of yours as it kept me abreast of what's out there that I should be looking for myself, as well as seeing your opinions of them.

Page Updates?

I only visit every once in a while, so this may have been answered before, but why doesn't Michael add new merchandise anymore? I've seen him mention that he's bought new stuff, but the site never gets updated.

Well, "kill" and its synonyms can have positive meanings. For instance: "Did you see John give that presentation?" "Yeah, man, he killed in there!" or "That presentation blew us away!" So really, it's just saying the conference Speaker impressed the audience with the Presentation in the Convention C...

As for "stretching the Clue game a bit far", here's why: a couple years ago, Hasbro decided to consolidate its brands under superbrands. All of their word games got lumped into the Scrabble brand, all of their animal-themed children's games got grouped into "Elefun and Friends", Super Soaker got abs...

If they're anything like the National Film Registry, they not only induct a limited number each year, but they like to induct a mix of obvious and more obscure stuff. For instance, the inductees for 2012 included Breakfast at Tiffany's, A Christmas Story, Dirty Harry, Anatomy of a Murder, and A Leag...

Toys R Us is selling it at $12.99 as part of a Christmas sale, not because of liquidation; they're selling the new version at the same price. (I work there.)

However, it's true that we aren't receiving shipments of them anymore.

It's a reference to a Beatles shirt; you can read more about it at http://www.jetset.nl/archive/john-paul- ... eorge.html , including why the ampersands are there.

I just bought the game from Walmart (it wasn't at Target the last time I checked), and it was fairly cheap at just $20. My first impression is that this is a beautiful game. Most of the details of the game's appearance, rules, etc, have already been spelled out in this thread, and I can see how some...

Reading the linked article, it occurred to me that this could be a very Clue-like game...depending on how it's used. It doesn't sound like much on its own, but if you combined it with another event, like a game night or something, it could be quite fun. Imagine: you have some people over, and as the...

(MINOR SPOILERS) I just got finished watching all five parts and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. Like someone above me said, it was obviously written for a tween audience, but I thought the story was good and several parts were very funny (and were MEANT to be, which is even better). All the stu...

Just a heads up (even though it seems no one really cares): the show will be premiering on The Hub on November 14 at 8 pm Eastern. I have no idea what to expect, but I'll definitely be watching. EDIT: By the way, I just saw a commercial for it and it looks pretty good, actually. I can't speak to how...

Both Master Detective and The Great Museum Caper used the artwork of the 1992 version.

Cluedo: Passport to Murder used the same art as the Cluedo 2000 edition.

That's just how spinoffs work.

Canadian Clue

I have a friend going to Canada and I asked her to pick up a Clue game for me there. So can someone fill me in on the differences between Canadian Clue and American Clue (if there are any)? My main question is if they're bilingual, because that's what I really want.

Thanks!

I bought it, and I like it. It's got a good attention to detail, and I expect nothing less than that from USAopoly. The setup is clever (it's a murder mystery team-building exercise), the workplace setting actually uses the starkness of the Discover The Secrets board to its advantage, and all of the...

What would you recommend? The only other things I can think of is a magnifying glass, which is cliche beyond belief, or Inspector Brown. And besides not being in the game, most people here don't like the idea of the police getting involved, so they would still be annoyed.

They did use state-of-the-art technology, I never said they didn't. And they didn't have Jar Jar, but they had C-3P0, who's just as bad. Also, Ewoks. Also, a droid that looks like a fast food garbage can. For every good thing about the Original Trilogy, I can list something bad, and vice-versa for t...
