Re: Which man is perfect for Mr. Boddy?

I was torn between Green and Plum! I suppose it could also depend on what iteration of the character you're thinking of. On this topic, Boddy being gay could totally work as a plot point. Think about it - rich gay bachelor who is friends with a broadway/Hollywood star (Scarlet), a busybody (Peacock)...

Re: Clue Novel: In The Hall With The Knife

Could someone describe the characters physical features so I could perhaps draw them? And describe their character, like what they do and such...? And what were some of the Easter eggs of Clue media used? Instead of telling you, I'll just confirm for you that Mrs White is an established homosexual ...

Re: Which woman is perfect for Mr. Boddy?

Are you definitely ruling out the possibility that Boddy had been a closeted gay man? Never imagine Boddy as gay, nor the other characters. I’m against gays, just never thought of the characters being in a LGBTQ+ relationship. I'm with you on this. Adding elements like that ruin the entire story Yo...

Re: Clue Novel: In The Hall With The Knife

lol. regarding swear words, it wasn't that deep. there were just a few moments where it was clear the writer had to use PG words that aren't normally used in day to day conversation instead of an S bomb, or nickname for a donkey. i'm not saying they needed to have heroin and orgies. and re: peacock....

Re: Clue Novel: In The Hall With The Knife

I finished this book. The good: -I loved the various easter egg / nods to various Clue media (including VHS and the movie) -In the description of the book on the cover, you get the sense that it only includes Mustard, Scarlett, Green, Orchid, Peacock and Plum. I was pleasantly surprised that White a...

Re: Clue(do) rules: Making an Accusation

I too, recall a version that said you had to be in a room (any room) to make an accusation. I started my Clue life with 1986, so it may have been that edition - or '92. EDIT: I was able to track down versions of the '86 and '92 game instructions online -and neither mention needing to be in a room. T...

Re: Which is the best Marmalade theme?

Tudor. I like that it has a world where so many characters (6 originals, Orchid, the Master Detective squad, and Azure) can all co-exist in the same style.

Scarlet - Janet Wong
Mustard - Walter Covell
White - Pam Ferris
Green - Fatal Illusion
Peacock - Susan Wooldridge (CDi game)
Plum - Fatal Illusion
I don't even need to add anything. Nailed it.

Re: Clue Movie Reboot

I could see them making Madeline Khan's White into Dr. orchid in the new movie, and changing Yvette into Mrs White (or maybe the cook - but hopefully only if they rewrite the role to be much more substantial).

Re: Solve the Crime

Thanks MrGreenJeans. Some of the comments on here threw me off even more than I was! Between the (wo)men comment and the fact that the corpse was identified as a woman, I thought that either a man was posing as a woman or vice-versa. :? I must have been watching too much RuPaul's Drag Race :D :D th...

Clearly this is just me, but I am baffled. As far as I can see, nobody can be dead :?
You're having the same hiccup I had. It was explained to me that someone could've been killed while in a room with others, if the murderer was crafty enough about it.

Re: Marmalade Game Studio's Clue(do)

I think that Sherlock is more brown than yellow and it’s time for Mustard to take a break for a round hehe Mustard AND Green — they’re the only ones with Scarlett who’ve been in every edition. But Mustard and Scarlett seem to be the face of the game marketing, and Scarlett’s face is on the app. So ...

I’d have voted for Mr. Green from the AE Parker book series if he were an option. Alas, I chose VCR Green — the next closest to crabby shady businessman of the bunch,
