Re: Marmalade Online Gaming

So ... anyone interested in trying to coordinate some online games in this age of the Corona?

Re: When did the Hall loose a door?

I hate that missing door. At least modern Clue games include two dice, but it does make it a pain to have to visit the Hall (Bathroom?). Personally, I think Marmalade’s marriage of the classic rooms/aesthetic with the condensed layout of the 2013 board is an ideal happy medium & I wish Hasbro were w...

Re: New Cluedo Jr. Game?

This looks super cute, IMO. A bit closer to a traditional Cluedo experience for the younger players, since a broken toy could be considered dead. Hope we get this re-skin stateside too.

Re: New Year, Cheaper Clue

I just noticed something else annoying: while they may have dropped the "New Suspects" label from the box graphics, it looks like they still have the old version of the game board pictured on the box: https://i67.servimg.com/u/f67/18/91/37/14/7-d62110.jpg Yeah, I know it's cheaper (sorry, " more co...

Re: Clue w/ bathroom

Well, that’s ... ugly. Definitely not in any rush to add this to the shelves. Are we to assume this is the best Hasbro could think of to celebrate 70 years of Clue? :| Even the “Discover the Secrets” reinvented game was a better 60th anniversary marker than this. The bathroom itself is fine (I’d enj...

Re: New Year, Cheaper Clue

Yes, it's a quad-fold board (see pictures). The label for the Dining Room is also positioned just right to split between the two words perfectly where the split in the room can’t be avoided. The Hall doesn’t jar me as much as the Ballroom — at least the Hall label runs parallel with the carpet runne...

Re: New Clue Road Trip Travel Game Coming

Thought regarding the pegs: is it possible players are meant to use the weapons tokens to fill the weapons slots on the shared “notebook”? Numerically that leaves enough pegs to mark the suspects & rooms, and would make sense in a modified game like this for removing the weapons from the rooms/playi...

New Year, Cheaper Clue

My local grocery store has all of their holiday merchandise on deep discount now, including the pile of toys & games they stocked up on for gift buying. So when I spotted this, the collector in me had no qualms dropping about $6: (as usual, click to enlarge any of these photos) https://i.postimg.cc/...

Re: Clue Christmas List 2019

After an endless barrage of friends sending me texts/private messages to tell me about the Golden Girls edition, Christmas 2019 found it under the tree courtesy of my one aunt who remembers I love Clue. Pleasant surprise: I never realized they did actually add full artwork for the two male sus...

Re: Clue North Pole Edition

RULES and MOVEMENT: Hasbro seems to be instituting a new rule with these editions -- you my stay in the room you're in after you roll the dice, and guess again in that location. Has that rule been implemented in any of the standard editions? It’s actually not a new rule at all, but a return to the ...

Re: What was your first Clue game?

1996 edition. I’d spotted the game on a shelf at an after school care facility & was really into the whole premise & artwork. It was missing pieces, so I couldn’t play it. Fast-forward a few weeks & I brought home a report card with straight A’s. The reward was a trip to Toys-r-Us to pick any one th...

Re: Marmalade Game Studio's Clue(do)

Marmalade’s Monopoly will only be a mobile edition for iOS & Android devices. The license for mobile was previously held by EA Games & finally expired some time ago (I want to say it was over 2 years ago I realized I couldn’t run the Android version anymore, nor find it listed in either the App Stor...

Re: Marmalade Game Studio's Clue(do)

In one of Marmalade's pictures of Monopoly, there's not one but two references to Clue in it I’m doing the beta test of the new Monopoly mobile game. They’ve got a LOT of recycled Clue & Life graphics populating the billboards around the city they’ve built in the middle of the board. It’s cute, but...

Re: A new to-go game?

“Portable” needn’t mean it fits into a backpack. The second post “clearly” (used loosely because it is admittedly small & takes some pinch-n-zoom action to inspect) shows a case not much bigger than 1 average board game box built to contain multiple tins for multiple games. It’s like those early Wad...

Re: A new to-go game?

https://www.instagram.com/p/B5AfK__JYGx/ Looks like some kind of Hasbro multi-game package. Another post on the same account shows details of the Monopoly pieces. It looks like players can purchase the base set & additional tins of playing pieces & boards to pack multiple games into one case. I’m to...

Re: Marmalade Game Studio's Clue(do)

If this is the last theme, or even if there’s just one more to fulfill the 10 they committed to from the start, it’s unlikely they’ll add additional content. It’s more likely we’ll see some cosmetic updates (playing pieces to match all of the artwork, retroactive theming of the corpse in each theme,...

Re: Marmalade Game Studio's Clue(do)

I hope they’re not rushing this one out like they did with the Egypt theme. Still not pleased that Meadowbrook was the only unique suspect token they designed for it (using a dark blue Scarlet for a Peacock token — really??).
