SCENE 5: The Kitchen

Mrs. White entered the Kitchen through the back door with a bundle of rhubarb in her hands. For dessert tonight she was planning to make some of her famous rhubarb pie. It was always a favourite. Of course she always had to be careful to always use to the stems of the rhubarb...the leaves happened to be poisonous.

"Blanche!" Mrs. Peacock called upon entry, "Today is a good day for a little celebration, perhaps it would be a good idea to make some of your c0cktails for the rest of us."

Mrs. White looked up,

"Should I make one for you guest?" She asked.

"Guest?" Mrs. Peacock replied confused.

"Yes, your guest," Mrs. White replied, "The one with the pretty pearl necklace. I told you she had arrived with the Professor in the Study this morning, remember?"

"Oh goodness Mrs. White, I wasn't paying attention then," Admitted Mrs. Peacock "I had other wonderful things on my mind."

"Oh and what ever could that be?" Mrs. White asked.

"Well," Replied Mr. Slate-Grey excitedly, "Mrs. Peacock has been going through her husband's old stuff and has discovered something most magnificent! An old 19th century Russian Dagger worth a fortune!"

That was when Tatyana suddenly entered from the Ballroom without notice.

"Mrs. Peacock?" She called, "Is that you? First I would like to thank you for letting me visit your home, but I must have a word about a situation I have uncovered about your daughter..."

"What?" Mrs. Peacock snapped, "What about Claudia?"

"Well you see, Mrs. Peacock...I used to work...oh..oh my!" Tatyana suddenly exclaimed off topic, "Let me see that dagger!"

"Wait..!"

But it was too late, Tatyana suddenly had the dagger grasped in her grip.

"Mrs. Peacock!" She exclaimed solemnly, "You must give this back! This is the dagger that belonged to Nicholas II of Russia! It was stolen by grave robbers and nobody thought they would ever see it again. It's lucky my photographic memory was able to recognize it. I must bring this back to my home country!"

Before Mrs. Peacock could utter a syllable, Tatyana was gone with the dagger. Mrs. White couldn't help but notice the beautiful shine from her pearl necklace as she departed.

"No Blanche, you mustn't..." She muttered to herself.

Mrs. Peacock turned to Mr. Slate-Grey.

"Get that dagger back from that wretched Russian, and I will cut you in on the earnings I receive..."

"How am I supposed to convince her?" Mr. Slate-Grey asked with his mouth full of rhubarb.

"I don't care how you do it, just do it!"

Mr. Slate-Grey turned and left, just as Mrs. White proceeded to take the tray of rhubarb c0cktails out to the Dining Room....

You search around the room and find out that the feezer is on the left and you assume the pantry is on the right. You also find a snag of clothing, funny you recall Mme. ROse wearing these colors...

You enter a gray, drab kitchen. Sgt. Gray whispers to you the odd thing that there is no oven. But you point out it is on the wall the door you came front is on. Two tall structures on either wall, one must be the freezer and the other the pantry...

MUSTARD: She's Bloddy right (stands up) Orche, come to my room as soon as possible. (lowers his voice and walks over to him) I'll be waiting.

COlonel Mustard exits and walks straight to his room, to see the door slightly open. Once inside his locks the door and opens his suitcase to see his gun is gone.

MUSTARD: Blast! I forgot to lock my door!
